She definitely had fluctuating weight - went from frumpy to fat ass season to season.

About 15ish years ago I was living in a kinda shitty studio apartment and didn't have money for cable so I bought a janky tv antenna with a couple amplifiers. I got a handful of channels and half of them were spanish soap operas and news.

One channel played reruns of a bunch of old shows, Roseanne was one of them. Made me realize that show was actually pretty good for it's time unlike a lot of other early 90s shows.

So yes, Roseanne was fat.

For reference this was the episode I watched.

So I guess she did go up and down in weight and this was her skinner years.

Either way when she was "fat" she was still probably pretty thin compared to what we call fat today.
