3. Open uplay, you should see Download and right under, "locate game folder", click there and find your preload folder
4. Verification/Repair
5. Launche game and once its open close VPN.

Bare in mind Uplay will update game status once you quit VPN, so if you close the game you will have to do the process again.

Yea this definitely is not working for me. I got mine through CDKeys. I can wait until tomorrow though no problem.

Picture 2

One picture is running native 1440p + 2x MSAA, the other one is 1440p (temporal) + 1.2 pixel boost + SMAA + 5% sharpen.
One is running at 60+ fps, one is running at 40 fps,

Picture 2 is 1440p (temporal).
 
Any Origin owners in the UK able to download the game? It supposedly just went live but it just says "pre-order failed" yet I have no options to pre-load/download or anything!

EDIT: Nevermind it has just updated and I'm able to download now :)

Yeah. not going with Origin in future for pre-order stuff. Luckily for me in this case, I'm not that hyped for it and with FFXV tomorrow (And for the foreseeable future), can't see my playing it that much, but it's shit after all this time, they haven't completed the order and we weren't even able to pre-load before now.

This is good to hear. I'll download when i get home, i'll give it a spin tomorrow morning if i can get away from FFXV. hah.

So excited to benchmark this game with my rig. It seems like a good port so far.

Just checked my says also processing, i bought it a couple of weeks ago. Last game i bought on Origin ..
 
Interesting, is it really revolution for gaming?
"Temporal Filtering" is, in our opinion, a revolution for gaming, enabling significant bumps in image quality and performance, without a reduction in detail of other settings. Essentially, free performance with no readily-seen drawbacks.

My Order says complete for the discount £20 price and is download still now. I'm guessing it takes a while for them to process the order and take the money from your account as I don't think they charge you until the game releases?
 
Considering the PC version is already shipping two weeks late I have to imagine any DX12 support got pushed out even farther. Maybe there will be a patch in a month or two.

You think so? Seems they've been working on the port quite significantly. I would hope to see a good implementation of DX12 in maybe a month? It would be nice to see it in a few weeks haha.
 
Is it just me a 1070 as a recommendation to run this game on very high at fu***ng 1080p borders on ridiculous?

So are the new NVIDIA drivers fine? I've skipped the last few because of problems people were having. But for Watch Dogs 2 I feel I'll want anything that can possibly give me better performance.
 
Any good deal for a legit PC key guys ? Feel like jumping in.

The game's pretty demanding, I'd love to see how it compares to the console versions!

Assassin's Creed Syndicate features a lot of improvements over the console versions and looks superb!
 
I've yet to see any (retro) DX12 branch for a big game that isn't fundamentally borked in some way so I'm not exactly sure why people are oh so sad about the lack thereof in WD2

Great guide Andy, the temporal thing is kinda intriguing but I guess it doesn't help much with 4K on a 1080 so idk.

Had the same, they're processing your order (charging you). It took around 20 mins for my order to finalize. It should go through, they could be doing this on manually for all i know. I think Origin does things differently compared to Steam, it's my first time pre ordering there.

Well, Ubisoft said this GDC, the media provided this information to everyone. I think you'd be the one in the position to substantiate claims to the jury in your head.

WHen i got the game i got charged and everything. The preload notice said it would be available tonight at 9pm. I have already been charged, so i better not see this stuff. Thats what i get for taking advantage of a good sale. haha
 
Looks like the demande is MUCH higher than the offer in the BST thread right now... Bummer, looks like I might have missed the wave.

And what happened with Total War: Warhammer's day one DX12 renderer?
Or Deus Ex: Mankind Divided?
Or like the many other examples out there?
What happened there, that the DX12 renderer wasn't available day one and/or released pretty much broken in a alpha/beta state and with weak results across the board?

Nvidia was also accused that Rise of the Tombraider didn't got a DX12 renderer and bad AMD performance because of Nvidia and GameWorks.
Well the money runned out and Nvidia could only buy a few months till the DX12 API was patched right?
 
Temporal filtering doesnt look that great to me. I'd have to analyse it further but just at a quick glance I prefer native 1440p it looks much less jaggy.

I'm not getting great performance in general on my GTX 1080. I dont know if there's something wrong with my set up though.

Try 1440p (temporal) + Pixel density.
