Okay, I don't know what's going on. Suddenly my browser (Firefox) is doing weird things with GAF and only GAF. It's not even entirely consistent. Oftentimes, when a thread is opened up the browser just jumps to the first post in thread, as in, the top of my browser window sets to the top of the first post box. The same happens whenever I reload a page. It also goes to the first post after I reply, whereas it used to show the post I just made.

It's really fucking annoying, not just because it's different, but because I'll be scrolling down while the page loads and then it just springs right back up to the top when it's completed. I just don't get what's going on. I haven't changed anything, and it's only happening here at GAF.

Any time you load a thread page, it goes to the first post--even if you reply.

Edit: Kinda funny, but I reloaded the page. It first went to my post (correctly) then when it all loaded, went to the first post.

It used to just open the page, not reset to specifically begin at the first post. It's annoying not having the forum header stuff available without scrolling up, and I effectively have to wait for the page to completely load before scrolling anywhere unless I want to do it twice.

I see it now. Never noticed it prior. I usually swicth tabs after I post, so I never watched what it did after a post.

I think it's the body onload event, which doesn't seem to trigger until the entire page is in memory. It's really irritiating if you're scrolling down a page and then it leaps back to the top. I understand it's useful to go direct to a new post, but I'm sure it didn't work like this before last week.

Notably, "first unread post" is fucked up, so it goes to the same target as the pageload target. Hrrrm.

GAF here acts weird - I'm in the middle of reading a thread, let's say between posts 20-30, not touching mouse or keyboard and *poof* it jumps to the first post, straight to the top.

And I have to manually scroll down to the posts I was reading.

Extremely annoying.

I've been having this problem too. It drives me nuts. I often start scrolling down the page before it finishes loading. What happens now is that I'm halfway down the page, it finishes loading, and then jumps back up to the first post.

Hopefully it can be fixed soon.
