Given the way you went out with that post I think it is understandable that people would give you a few lumps when you came back. Believe it or not, despite the ribbing you are getting most people here genuinely are cool with you being back as long as you genuinely want to be here and contribute to discussions honestly.
I don't think most people are expecting you to fall to your knees begging for forgiveness but a little self reflection and honest introspection goes a long way.
You are not the first person to come back to GAF after leaving for ResetEra, most rejoin the community without much hard feelings or grudges and become contributing members of the community, others don't adjust too well as their window for what is "normal" has been so twisted over time that suddenly seeing differences of opinion being discussed without any period of adjustment is like suddenly hitting a brick wall at 100mph. Those people don't last long.
What I'm trying to say is, just be cool and don't let your ego get the better of you, take your lumps and come out the other side better for it. Most of us would prefer that you weren't banned and were able to turn it around and become a solid member of the community.

Me, when I checked my email this morning
Before the mental breakdown that created Resetera, I was nine years in and was still a junior member. Most of the time I either saw my thoughts written down and didn't like replying with "this" or "agreed", so I didn't post at all. Then I was afraid to post, because I thought I would get banned. I had a close call with @beseda, I think it was.
Then the crazies left and, after a time, I found my voice on here. I enjoyed posting. I still do. Everyone here is just looking for a good time. I equated it with hanging out at a bar or tavern.
The cache you have built up over the years is worthless now. You need to start all over again. But then I see that you are treating this like a spurned lover, running back to an old flame. I am still working out in my head what it is you are after. Let's talk about it.

The seeming inability to let a discussion play out was definitely one of the things that most frustrated me about Era and GAF immediately before the implosion. It really got ridiculous on Era 2018 and beyond when threads would constantly get closed because a random mod deemed that they would be not be conducive to "productive" discussion.
But they love to post that Martin Luther King Jr image talking about white centrists!

It was my primary complaint in my ban thread. So you cunts crying about the cringe in that post are only mad because I dared to praise Halo 5, are already taking advantage of the changes that came from that whole drama.
Era, ironically, started out with a basic set of rules that tried to allow it. There were more warnings handed out to try and educated before bans, and conversation was more open with a "good faith rule". I saw more moderation based on that rule than anything else. Then lately, it just reverted back to ban-on-site on even just the most mundane things.
Even the person who tried to defend me who tried to articulate what I said, caught a laughable ban.
Theres no discussion to be had there. Just egg shells and tip toes.

One of the posters dead-ass took a policy test, was told he more politically aligns with Bernie, and then said "But I support Warren for other reasons, it just is what it is"
What's most funny is that political threads outside of Poliera were very different.
Aside from GAF burning down it's where a majority of the conversation went.
And no , the only progressive points being given out there were from me. That place is filled with Moderates who dont five a shit about policy, but cry about how "progressive they are."

They can also remove people from individual threads which seems pretty effective. GAF also has a "Ban log" at the bottom of every page so it's easy to see who was banned and (usually) why. Everything is a lot more transparent now.
Anyway, good to have you back.

On a traditional political spectrum, Resetera is moderate predominantly. They are not moderate in terms of identity politics, but in terms of fiscal policies / economical policies? Sure are. You probably remember the Clinton squadron here? It's not like Clinton was a far left candidate, in fact she was as moderate as moderate gets, dare say she is a neoliberal. Sanders, the actual left wing candidate, was treated like cancer.
