Well, I'm Sick

Darkmakaimura

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
No Covid-19 but woke up with terrible acid reflux, nauseau and stomach aches.

It's been bad to the point I haven't done anything other than sit up all day. Lot of pain in my chest and if I move around I feel like I'm going to throw up.

The hospice nurse even asked me if I'm running a fever and she wouldn't come over if anyone was sick but I assured her it's not a fever or cold.

This is awful and just gets worse. I need to get checked out.

Can comment upon the acid reflux as I've had the more chronic version called GERD. Things become serious when I starting crapping black stools which was a sign of internal bleeding, I'm taking medication and waiting on a colonoscopy to see what's happening.

Take heed OP, GI issues have been shown to be more common with COVID-19 than previously thought. You might still have it. Don't worry my wife got tested today because we've both been having wacky symptoms and she said it only felt like being lobotomized, twice.

Edit:
Totally missed the part about the hospice nurse, y'all can rightfully call me an asshole ☹️ Sorry dude

How much contact have you had with the outside world in the past week ish?

What the fuck are you eating?

what does "sit up all day" mean? if you were sitting in one chair all day long, that is not healthy. if you were staring at a screen, it even less.

if so then you need to start getting up once an hour to walk around or something. set a timer on your phone or something. it will give yourself a little break too, from whatever you are doing. so much of our work life is spent sedentary, sitting in chairs, at desks, or in a car on the way to work. now we don't even go to work. the average person's daily exercise (what little it may have been for many) has dropped significantly.

Very little.

If I move around I get very nauseous.

Plus when I said I sit up all day, I just meant today while I've been sick.

Pretty sure it has nothing to do with my diet. There must have been an accumulation of stomach acid somewhere and that punched a hole in something and is starting to bleed.
It happened for a reason though.

Risk factors
Conditions that can increase your risk of GERD include:

  • Obesity
  • Bulging of the top of the stomach up into the diaphragm (hiatal hernia)
  • Pregnancy
  • Connective tissue disorders, such as scleroderma
  • Delayed stomach emptying

Factors that can aggravate acid reflux include:

  • Smoking
  • Eating large meals or eating late at night
  • Eating certain foods (triggers) such as fatty or fried foods
  • Drinking certain beverages, such as alcohol or coffee
  • Taking certain medications, such as aspirin

Obesity and fried foods are probably main factors. I'm not on the huge side with a stomach that explodes out of my shirt, but I could lose some weight and my diet of fast food has cut down.

I made some tacos. Now I have a weird itchy feeling in my throat and it's making me cough.

Either it's the tacos or I'm dying. Can't be anything else.

Btw I'm willing to take any advice on what to do or take for severe heartburn/acid reflux because I'm still pretty sick.
