Back in January we brought you news of the Gouda Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy’s being tested in Colorado and now it’s getting a wide release.

The Gouda Bacon Cheeseburger features a ¼ lb. beef patty topped with Garlic Aioli, Gouda Cheese, Swiss Gruyere Cheese Sauce, 3 strips Applewood Smoked Bacon, red onions, tomato and fresh spring mix – all served on a Brioche Bun.

bullshit that's 640 calories with nothing on it

Let me give you the basic rundown of what will go through every customer's mind:

- OH HEY SOMETHING NEW

*tries it*

- MMM this is tasy

*finishes it*

- Ehhhhhh not as good as the Baconator.

Had one last week - doesn't really taste like gouda.

The previous advertised burger (the portabello mushroom melt) was better. I mean, the gouda one is good, but it's just a bacon cheeseburger.

Had this today with a side of "bacon fondue fries" which were just them reusing the cheese sauce here and putting bacon on a small order of fries.

Both were serviceable.

Would rather have a Baconator. Wendy's just needs to work on those god awful fries. How they made them worse is unbelievable.

something tells me the flavor of the Gouda is going to be severely overpowered.
The hell? Gouda is like the weakest cheese ever, I always opt for it in my burgers instead of Cheddar because I find that one too strong

BRING BACK THE PRETZEL BACON CHEESEBURGER

AND THE JALAPENO FRESCO CHICKEN SANDWICH WHILE YOU'RE AT IT

In all seriousness I'll probably go get one of those gouda burgers tomorrow.

I read this and my nose started bleeding.

Pretzel buns are lunacy and should be banned from burgerdom everywhere. Fuck outta here. Brioche buns yes! Potato buns yes! Egg buns yes! Regular ass white bread for burgers yes!

Stop pronouncing it like Gooda, America.

Everyone outside of the Netherlands calls it Gooda, so good luck with that (I'm Dutch and don't give a fuck).

It's horrible cheese anyway. Give me blue, camembert or old as fuck cheese any day of the week over that tasteless shitty cheese....

Dude, I ate like ten Baconators whilst playing through Mass Effect 3 for the first time, but I'd gladly have switched up 20% of them for this monster.

I haven't eaten at a Wendy's in like a year but I hate how often they put spring mix on their limited time products. This looks pretty good though.

Accurate except the last line should read "oh god I feel ill." I don't know if it's just my local Wendy's but they make the absolute greasiest burgers I've ever had that taste great (by fast food standards) but make me legit feel sick halfway through.

You can buy old as fuck Gouda too. I bought some 5 year old cheese in Gouda and it was absolutely delicious.

Wut.

Also they need to bring back to Pretzel Burger or at least the damn buns.

Had one last week and it was great. That garlic aioli is yummy. Definitely the best specialty fast food item I've had in years. Wendy's always so on point.

Baconator requires extra sauces to prevent from tasting dry 9/10 times, this looks like it won't have that issue...

Def gonna pick one up soon. Wish it was a 1/3 lb patty, tho.
