Has anyone actually gotten the free Wendys frosty? I got one today and the Frostys come in these miniature sized cups that are almost the size of shot glasses. I kid you not. Total letdown.

I realize that it actually can't be a ripoff since it's free, but it damn sure comes close. Bottom line, do not drive out of your way to get a free frosty.

I learned this last year when I found one of those coupon books for free frosties that they give out for making a donation. I made a special trip there on my break from work to use one of the coupons and felt like the biggest tool after I had waited in line just to get the tiny thing. And they don't let you get multiple at a time.

Partly, but the free Frosty was also suppose to make people feel better about Wendys after the "Chili-Finger" debacle. Even though they weren't responsible, sales have been down ever since especially in California. I don't know if giving away "Thimble" Frostys is going to help a lot. I know I ended up getting pissed off.

But yeah, it's probably my fault for not knowing Junior Frostys were so microscopic.

I got one tonight and stuck it in the freezer. I figure I'll grab a couple more this weekend and I'll have a nice dessert in my freezer. Frostys taste different when they are frozen, but I prefer them like that than fresh.

What did you expect the size to be, for something Wendy's is given out for free to everyone who ask for it? Of course it's going to be something very, very small.

A frosty jr. comes in a 6 oz cup
A small frosty comes in a 12 oz cup
A medium frosty comes in a 16 oz cup (size of small drink cup)
A large frosty comes in a 20 oz cup (size of medium drink cup)

I have to disagree with the consensus here: this is not an invalid point. Fast-food joints charge way too much for horrible food, and what they're trying to do is pull you in to buy more. There may be no purchase required, but the fact is, a lot of people will decide to go to Wendy's instead of BK or McDonald's, buy a sandwich, and when they see how small the frosty is, they will feel ripped off.. and rightly so.

Yeah, I got mine today. Pretty small; about the size of a dixie cup.

I went there the other day and a lady asked if I wanted a free frosty through the speaker. I knew nothing about this. Anyhow, free or not, I was being somewhat responsible and said no. They asked me again at the final windown, the guy says, "why not? it's free." so I said "sure!". I couldn't help but laugh aloud at the thimble of frosty they hand you. No big deal, I didn't really want it, and I didn't pay for it, but the whole concept of wowza free item kind of is destroyed when it's the bare minimum your getting.

So a lot of people want a picture explanation, but I'm not sure how much you are all understanding. But at the risk of telling you all what you may already know... it starts in the top left with the man getting an idea (the empty box is the same design as the finished product, it's just seethrough as though it's still an idea) and he goes to the design business and gives his idea to the orange shirt guy who walks downstairs and starts working on it (! = idea for implementation) and by the change of the clock as you go downstairs again you see its finished (z = sleep now, it's done?). so we go downstairs again where he presents it to the businessman who dropped it off, showing the present now and i assume the last panel of future is part of his presentation or their envisionment for the future.

I guess the idea behind it is that everyone who has an idea wants it to be the next big thing, so marketting it and making it huge is what their job is... buying into it is ours. Yadda yadda, consumerism yadda yadda

Frosties are the best fucking deal ever. Only $1.79 Canadian for an extra large helping of chocolatey dairy goodness. McFlurries are like $3 for a regular size (which is rather small), and DQ Blizzards are even more expensive. Nothing beats a Frosty for value!
