ARCTIC CIRCLE, FINLAND – August 11, 2011 – Lapland Studios, in association with Elstree Studio Productions, Red 27 Films and Maandi Media Holdings, announced today that the highly anticipated Wesley Snipes game, Julius Styles: The International is now available for iPhone and iPad for $2.99 in the App Store.

Julius Styles: The International is a thrilling, action packed game that places players in the unglamorous world of economic espionage. Working for the ‘Assembly’, an elite circle of businessmen bent on channeling global funds into their pockets, players take control of Julius Styles, a young man who recently graduated from MIT and has lost his way. Julius joins on with the Assembly as an economic hitman, an expert in persuasion, blackmail, and assassination. His quick thinking, unorthodox methods, and unmatched computer skills allows infiltration into governments, businesses, and other shadowy organizations.

”Evolving from the military special ops, security specialist backgrounds of characters I’ve played in the past, this guy was trained by the streets of today, to be the international player and dot com super spy of the future.” said Wesley Snipes, “Fall back, Nino and excuse me, Mr. Bond! I’d like you to meet Mr. Styles, Julius Styles: The International. ”

“The time and dedication our team has put into the game has produced what we feel to be a step forward for iOS gaming,” said Ilkka Immonen, CEO of Lapland Studios. “The game delivers an unprecedented experience in the world of mobile gaming. Download Episode 1 today and embark on a breathtaking journey into the seedy underbelly of international espionage!”

Presented in an isometric 3D style, Julius Styles: The International is an incredible adventure in which Julius gathers information, collects and combines items to create weapons and tools, and solves intricate puzzles. Players will need to do whatever it takes to finish the job before someone else finishes Julius.

“This marriage, my vision of a hardcore action movie combined with Lapland’s implementation of a kickass video game, is going to hook you up and leave you thirsty for more,” said Wesley Snipes. “Episode 1 is just the beginning. I’ve been waiting ten years for a creative opportunity like this!”

The first episode of Julius Styles: The International is now available for $2.99 in the App Store for iPhone and iPad. For more information, please visit www.laplandstudio.com.
I used to work for this company (designed their 2010 WiiWare game Lead the Meerkats), so I'm interested about the game but I don't have iPhone or iPad.

Has anyone downloaded the game? Any impressions?

It looks point and click to me, interactive storybook?

The voice-acting in the phrase was half-assed.

Holy shit. I'll say one thing, the guy's movies are shit (I didn't even really like white man can't jump) but he is tenacious. Damn, if he isn't staying relevent.

The game should be called Westley Snipes Snipes and Snipes Snipes.

That picture makes him look like a balding old man with a mullet.

(Yeah, I know there's someone right behind him.)

Noticed that IGN has made exclusive interview with Wesley Snipes.

IGN said:
IGN: How involved have you been in the creation of Julius Styles: The International?

Wesley Snipes: I crafted the concept, character names and background stories, mixing and matching people I know with people I'd like to know... if they really existed. After writing out a treatment for his first mission, I pitched it to Alison Semenza, a producer I'd worked with in the past, with the goal of making a feature film. Months later she came back and said, "Hey, have you ever thought about making a game out of it?" Now here we are. Team members from our comic/animation division communicate frequently with the game developers, fleshing out the look, music and game challenges, particularly, the mind game elements.

You've never seen Passenger 57....have you?

I remember in grade school some kid lied and said in Passenger 57 the bad guy had surgery on his dick to make it hurt more when he raped women. My friend and I watched it like 4 times trying to find the part where it said that.

Boy, I oughta slap you silly. You better get your story straight. Demolition Man, Passenger 57, Blade, Blade 2 and Undisputed are all really enjoyable movies. Far from shit. I am aware of subjectivity and I reject yours.

Good day.

that's exactly what i thought. it's fucking hilarious. i did a double take when i first saw it. i was like "what the fuck, is that a mullet". then i realized what was going on. i'm saving that for future mullet discussions just to fuck with people.

He's a complete twat apparently. Ryan Reynolds said that during production on that Blade movie he only ever emerged out of his trailer to shoot a scene, and never socialized with any of the cast or crew. He was good in Mo Better Blues and New Jack City though; maybe he'll star in a decent film again once he's out of the slammer.

Shut up. You probably busted your first nut when you saw the opening sequence in Blade and probably didn't bother to clean up until after the credits ended. Now it's shit? That movie was, is and forever will be amazing.

I can imagine Snipes isn't the greatest personality, but the fact that someone doesn't spend their time chit chatting around wouldn't be enough for me to make that stamp.

He didn't like the new director, script and the fact that the movie focused more on the new sidekicks so he was pretty pissed during the whole production.

He even sued New Line and the director.

He had good reason to be pissed. That movie was sucky in all kinds of ways. Whoever gave them the greenlight on the concept should have been fired.

Since the game is only $.99, I decided to pick it up. Looks pretty bad, but what the hell.
