this year has my 2 worst vacation i could think of

Worst: mid january in canada, had a girlfriend of 3 months, usualy take time off around my birthday to maybe leave country or just have time off.
pass my whole week to go back and from montreal to pick up and drop off my girlfriend ( 50 min drive in the summer without traffic, add 30 mins if there's a snowstorm, and another hour to that if theres traffic.) ended up breaking up after she kept finding new things to argue.

2nd worse: few weeks ago, cancelled because short on staff and no replacements available due to corona virus.

Anywhere on the beach. There's a big tradition in my country that you have to take a vacation on the beach. Like why? Bunch of people bathing themselves in water, it's loud and it's expensive as hell. And I never liked the smell of sea/ocean water. It smells like fish. And I hate fish.
My ideal vacation is touring and conquering roads on a motorcycle. You stop at some random town, eat, have a drink, meet new people and then proceed forward. Now that's a vacation.

In general, I dislike any vacation that requires me to go sightseeing. I'm just not interested in that.

Give me a golf course, a beach, a couple of books, and some beer, and I'm happy.

Introverts being stuck in a place with other people that are slowly turning into introverts, too, not by choice but by depression ain't all that fun, bubba.

Pretty much anywhere with you guys evidently. I pretty much done every thing at my age multiple ocean and river cruises, every continent, sporting events, cross country trains... and liked all of it for different reasons. This year it may just be me the wife and the dog on a rented houseboat for a few days, but I can't wait

My brother went to Italy a couple years ago. He said it was just dirty and spray-painted and filled with homeless people everywhere. For the thousands it cost him, he could have just gone to Washington DC or some shithole US city.

He had gone to Japan the year before and couldn't recommend that enough.

Road trip back middle seat between most conservative and liberal member on here. I usually love any vacation; traveling, theme parks, cruise, camping, beach. My friends pick and I’m down and it’s always a good time.
