While eating dinner tonight, I was watching this show called, "Who gets the dog?" that featured a beagle up for adoption. The thing is, the dog spends a day and a night with three different families, with one of the families getting the dog at the end of the process. There are a couple of judges that watch video footage of families trying to get the dog to do dumb stuff, (one family had to make the dog "sing") and make a descision about which family the dog goes to.
So you watch the program, and see these three different families, all with little kids that totally freak out when they see the dog. We see shots of the dog sleeping on kids' beds. We see all of the children getting totally attached to the dog, and not wanting to give the dog back after the end of "trial period".
At the end of the show, they line the three families up, and all of the kids are super anxious. And then they announce...the dog goes to the Smith family!
We then see the kids from the Johnson family burst into tears, and the kids from the Schafer family get these horrible looks of pain on their faces. They then turn to watch the victorious Smith family laughing and having fun with their new dog, THE DOG THEY WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN!
REALITY TV HAS GONE TOO FAR! TOO FAR!
