What are the best COD single player campaigns?

I’ve never played a COD game before. (Well, that’s not totally true, I played Finest Hour on the GameCube.) The main reason I’ve never bought one is because I don’t care about the multiplayer aspect at all. However, I’ve heard the single player games are linear, tailored adventures with great production value, and that sounds right up my asshole.

So what would you say are some of the best COD single player campaigns? Length does not matter at all (in fact, the shorter the better, since I don’t have a ton of time for gaming these days).

Bonus points if you have any hot tips on how to get the games on the cheap.

Black Ops 1, easily number 1.
But in no particular order, the best ones are og MW trilogy, Black Ops 2, Black Ops Cold War and Infinite Warfare, The rest of the campaigns are not bad either, but I'd day those ones are some of the best ones.

Aside from the constantly mentioned ones
I actually don’t know what the constantly mentioned ones are. I usually ignore COD stuff, so if those are good, let me know what they are <3

MW1 (from 2007 not the reboot, and if you play this you may as well play the trilogy because it’s pretty decent and the soundtrack to the second is amazing)

BO1 and WAW.

You can skip the rest.

You have to play WaW on veteran to get the OG experience too. Blowtorch and corkscrew and heart of the reich

I loved Black Ops 1 & 2. Black Ops 3 watched on YouTube. Shooting robots was boring. The firs MW trilogy was awesome. I loved all of them. Advanced Warfighting and Ghost. Lots of peeps didn't like Ghost. I thought it was worth a playthrough.

Call of Duty 2, Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and Modern Warfare 3 (2011). The best shooting galleries and set pieces by far. The best US Army campaigns as well, something the newer games are missing with their constant low-intensity sandbox maps.

MW1 is a legit great SP game. The sniping mission, the fly into the middle east country, the nightime tank escort thing, the AC130, the ship opening. It's all so freaking good even replaying on the remaster. Hasn't hit like that since as they go for cheap set pieces of "WHOAAAAA BIG EXPLOSION!"

The one with Kevin Spacey was good I thought, I don't really know which cod is that because I suck at pointing them out when they are not numbered.

For me
CoD 4 > Mw2 > CoDMW2019 > CoD 2

Every other SP feels like a blur...I didn't even touch whatever filler SP the current MW3 has...

Infinite Warfare was so good it's up there as one of the best SP FPS campaigns of all time.

No other COD campaign comes close.

Also, BLOPS III deserves a special mention for both the inclusion of Ben Browder as well as the batshit insane story that spawned some awesome-ass fanfic.

Course mate. I think the consensus is that OG MW trilogy and Black Ops 1 and 2 are great campaigns. I think 2017's WWII is not too shabby either.

Only SP campaigns I ever played are these in my preferred order:

COD4
WaW = MW2
COD2
COD3 (boring, froze a lot, and you had to do stupid RS movements to simulate rowing a boat

You got so many to chose from but out of the more modern ones, Infinite Warefare by far. I find it even better than original MW. Its the longest campaign in the franchise, first time they included sidequests and still looks amazing. Also I do like scifi/space so for me it was godsend. I never liked going back to "boots on the ground", we went from hectic muti leveld multiplayer to back to basics and the campaigns are servicable at best: WW2 boring, Vanguard...jesus christ trash, Modern - MW titles are just rehash of old and besides the first one, the other 2 felt rushed and unfinished, especially MW3 which is a complete joke.
