I know basic HTML for a site I run. I know the code is really shaky, but it seems to look good one Safari and IE 6 so I think I'm good for now (small site).

So what is the coding above? What web-design language or whatever.

Javascript. The rest of the site is scripted in PHP.

Use Dreamweaver, it has idiot proof way to put those drop down boxes into your site.
