That's funny, I had the exact same thought when I heard it. He started to break around the time of Slim and was pretty damn talented from the jump. I bought Internal Affairs based on the cover art. It was one of the rare times it paid off, cracking album.

with all the media propoganda going around in the USA i posted a song from this is in another thread. the idea of using pop culture for political propaganda is fascinating.

Goebbels had a jazz band that would cover classic American jazz songs and midway through change the lyrics to be pro-Reich. yet it is produced to sound very innocent, so that a DJ might play it without knowing what it was. crazy stuff.
