I also finally gave Mac Demarco a listen after a rave review from a mate. I've only listened to this so far but I'm a fan now. Great stuff, beautiful vocals. Tape hiss/90s vibe x Elvis? IDK but it's solid.

Sounds inspired by 80s Peter Murphy, but that covers a lot of goth territory and could be second hand.

I'm a big fan of his Salad Days album that I've heard, I'd recommend checking it out. Definitely a very chill vibe to his music that I enjoy.
