• Hey Guest. Check out your NeoGAF Wrapped 2025 results here!

What are your 2020 resolutions?

For me

1. I want to find a new job
2. I need to get my eyes checked and get new pair of glasses. My current glasses is almost like 10 years old. The glass coating is peeling off,
3. I want to get a local driver license, I've been driving around with international DL.
4. I need to renew my health care card
5. I want to get a motorcycle license, so I can ride!!!
6. I want to work out more, I've been casually working out 1-2 a week. I want to increase the frequency and intensity

Hopefully we can remind and push each other to keep our resolutions

2020 is my year of focus. As corny as its sounds

Putting a foot in the asses that matter to me. Mine is first in line

My hardcore resolution is getting my license and a car. Getting my license has been a struggle for close to 6 years, 2 years of which I legitimately lost my identity by losing my wallet.

I got my permit again, but the house hasn't had a car since June. I hope I can get this all squared away before May 2020. It'll open the doors for smaller resolutions like getting a better job and becoming more independent

Here's to hoping 2020 changes the tides for us all

Build an absolutely friggin beast PC.

For 10 years, I was still using an old 2009 PC. Then a few month ago, I built a new $500 PC (or $1000 in Canadian).

But it's not enough. Especially as I want to be in the design/visualization industry and have faster renders.

I'm going to save enough money and build a $10,000 PC. I want the fastest CPU, GPU and the most Memory I can stuff into a box.

You may think this is overkill, but outside of buying games and movies, I don't actually have any other hobby. So why not just go all out and build the PC of your dreams?

Same as last year: Spend less, save more. Try to lead a simpler life. It's an ongoing process. There's always room for improvement. I want to reduce the amount of waste I produce, for example.

I've changed some of my eating habits last year, but I'd like to take that a step further. Gonna try to drink more water and less juice.

My biggest resolution is to shake up my entire life and relocate to a completely different region of the country. I'm tired of the Midwest and really want to get down to south-west Florida (I have loose connections there but nothing meaningful enough to help out much).

I've been saving up so money isn't necessarily a huge issue, but the whole "no job down there, no address down there" thing kinda is and I haven't quite figured out the best way to tackle that.

Maybe get a job, it's not because I can't find work but I sold my business and let's say money isn't a issue, it's boredom.
I used to work up to 80hrs a week for a long time and after 6 months of "relaxing" it's time for a new occupation, hard part is finding out what that thing is.

I'm not big on resolutions, just make it a constant.

The only item rattling around lately is a phrase I used to have above my art desk:

'you only get respect when your kickin' ass.'

Bringing this back to the forefront.

2019 was about me finding and accepting a healthier routine in life which saw me drop 30 lbs. to 200lbs

2020: Get to consistent comfortable weight at 180.

What this means realistically: Drinking less Monsters in the morning, staying consistent on 7+ miles a day walking, cutting down on beers.

I've already conquered all 3 things above, I'm at the point of moderation and control with a full understanding of what it takes.

When next I respond to this post it will be because I'm 180 lbs!

I'm just going to try to recover from the mental and physical stress 2019 brought me and my best friend/roommate. My health suffered greatly last year - It's time to turn it back around. :)

I need to cut down on caffeine. It's exacerbating my already unmanageable anxiety. Maybe if I'll have a normal energy drink instead of the 300 mg ones every morning.

-Lose 30lbs
-be more positive
-be less bitter/stop hating my ex because she changed so much and ruined our relationship
-go out more and try to stop being the lone wolf I've become since the separation
-hopefully meet a new girl

-Be a bit less lazy (it's too easy to crash after work/weekends)
-Make music
-Current relationship is kind of rocky, so we'll see about that one
