Remember the days when people would ask you "what are your hobbies?". Yeah, thatd be on that questionairre you'd fill out as a kid to win a trip to meet the Ninja Turtles. But nowadays, as an-adult...you don't think about 'hobbies' as being hobbies anymore. In fact, sometimes you just might think you have no hobbies. But if you scrape the bottom of the bowl, you can definitely make yourself sound damn good. Ya just gotta realize what you do day in and day out.

So if I were to fill out a questionairre today I'd say my hobbies are...

Ha, we have the same hobbies, right on.

As far as surround discs go, I'd have to say Alison Krauss + Union Station - Live for SACD, and Queen - A Night At The Opera for DVD-A. Beck's Sea Change is really good in either format. I haven't heard the Snow Patrol SACD, but I want to check that out. Some various classical releases I have sound great... But my two favorites are definitely those Alison Krauss and Queen discs.

Poetry: Arguably my #1 hobby is poetry. I read a LOT of poetry and short fiction -- I subscribe to several literary journals, and seem to order a couple of books on Amazon every month. I write poetry as well (though not lately), and participate in readings and workshops. Although I've gotten some pieces published in anthologies, my goal is to get into more journals next year.

Music: I have music going CONSTANTLY in my life, and I have the CD collection to prove it. I'd love to explore DJing, or even singing in a band, although I think my stage possibilities are long past me.

Sports: Playing basketball rocks. I follow baseball, basketball, and football...the latter two collegiately (UCLA) as well as professionally.

Games: I love games of all kinds -- board and card games as much as videogames. This weekend, I'm going to Vegas to practice my blackjack, in fact.
