What did you think of the KOTOR 2 ending? how will it effect KOTOR 3? Spoilers

Wow I just finished the game.

What the fuck happened?

There are so many unanswered questions and plot arks not finished, it screams squeal but it’s going to make KOTOR 3 so complex you are going to have to establish what you did in KOTOR and KOTOR 2 anyone new to the series won't know what the hell is going on.

Where is the HK-50 Droid Production facility? All the effort to place dialogue and clues in the game for nothing.

What was Go-To’s droid doing at the end of the game?

What happened to Maria after losing her duel to hanhar, (she only had like 2 levels of Jedi training)?

Where is Revan? Why would you talk to Carth and Bastila about it for NO reason what so ever?

There are so many unanswered questions that I would have liked to be resolved rather then answered in the squeal. Plus it would make no sense starting KOTOR 3 is a powered up Jedi Weapons Master.

I think I can finally understand why this game is so buggy when they didn’t even the time to finish ending. I doubt obsidian is to blame they must have been given an unrealistic time frame to finish this game.

My only concern is the virtually unfinished plot is going adversely effect KOTOR 3.

I don't think it'll be quite that bad. I think the Exile won't be around in KOTOR III, but big shit is definitely brewing, and I have a feeling you'll meet up with Revan somewhere.

Unfortunately, I think that was cut from the game to hit the holiday season.

Actually, that WAS G0-T0. The human was the fake (it was just a hologram).
I think he was just keeping check on the remote. Depending what side you're on, the other machine wins.

She probably went in search for the others, but I really have no clue.

Revan is off where the Sith REALLY are.
Apparently, Bastilla recorded a video in T3-M4 to show to someone if Revan got in trouble. Apparently that's why the Ebon Hawk is in so much damage at the beginning of the game, and so are the droids and crew.
Carth and Bastilla appear if you made Revan good in the first one, I believe. I think someone else showed up if you made him evil, but I never did that to Revan.

A creator of KOTOR II said that he'd like to have a brand new graphics engine to work with on the next game if LucasArts/the powers that be okay KOTOR III. I think such a game would take a while in the making, so they'll probably look at other things they felt was tedious as well.

My only concern is the virtually unfinished plot is going adversely effect KOTOR 3.

If they kill off the Exile, then problem solved. Just have Revan to deal with. There were some good ideas in the official thread, too.

How did you know that droid was GO-TO? I didn’t have many dialogue options with him due to my poor influence with him maybe my dark side character will find out more. I did however have suspicions about that droid being the real Go-To.

If they do kill the exile die the

1. Let the Ebon hawk and the crew go with him.

or

2. Have him die from killing Kreia Deadly force bond and most of the crew can survive.

Then maybe you can start the next game as bastila's Apprentice.

The second option will probably happen on light side.
On dark, you throw her into the core, and Malachor V doesn't explode

Playing on Dark Side will really help with HK-47 and G0-T0, but if you want to get some stuff on T3-M4, you'll have to be very nice to him (which is okay, you can be evil later), and have very high repair/computer skills.

There's also a cave on Korriban that's a pretty cool sidequest. I recommend you check it out if you haven't.

You talking about that awesome Sith Cave? One of the best places in the game IMO.

When I get Xbox live in a month (moving house) I will play KOTOR and KOTOR 2 back to back darkside. I want to wait so I can visit that extra space station I'm going to have HK-47 beside me the whole way so I can hear all his classic dialogue.

didn't read anything in this thread because I have not played yet... But I thought you hated KoTOR = to watching paint dry or something :lol

It was a title to do with a Glitch I suffered in KOTOR 2; I love the series best two games on the Xbox (IMO). Despite the lack of polish KOTOR 2 is still essential gaming.

I am this forums biggest Bioware Fanboy so I am going to love KOTOR at least.

KOTOR II sold very well, so I assume we'll see a KOTOR III, but for the love of god, please let them take their time and finish it properly. This buggy, glitch filled game was tedious to play through and at times made little sense with dialog not matching up to the story, dead end plot lines, and repeating options.

There were times when the plot hinted at some very cool aspects that just didn't seem to flesh out, and as I've said in your other thread, I thought the Sith Lords were interesting and well designed, but under utilitzed, and I never once felt like I was in trouble while fighting them. I want them to be more of challenge, like in KOTOR I. And was I the only one who got tired of kicking that Wookie's ass? I mean how many times to we have to do that? He was far to easy, and I never once lost to him and it all just seemed tired after awhilel

Also, the story needs to have more consistency between chapters. For instance, how is Bastila still alive? In my version, she was killed off, and if there was a possiblity for her to live or die, this story needs to reflect that. Same with Revan being good or evil, etc. And within this story, there were odd things too. For instance, I had a cut scene where the GO-TO driod destroyed the probe, yet when we crashed on the Malachor, the probe was alive an well, without explanation, and even had to repair those control panels in the other crashed ship. Both I, and a friend of mine, who were playing the game sperately were like "what the hell?" Little things like this need to be corrected for the next game.

As for KOTOR III, well, it certinaly has the potential to be epic in scope if it's done right, but KOTOR II left such a bad taste in my mouth at the end, I'd have to see some very stellar reviews for me to want to play it. A new graphics engine should be a must, perhaps the Jade Empire engine this time around as it is enhanced from the KOTOR engine. Also, can we start as a Jedi this time? Is that too much to ask? Start us out as a Padawan who has just finished the Trials, or make us go through 'em first, and become a Knight. I don't want to see another story where we wake up with little memory and no knowledge of the Force only to have to jump through hoops to get our lightsabre. Then get us into the thick of the story and make sure it's a good one, with plenty of that Star Wars Magic. :)
