What do I need to buy to use headphones with my gamecube?

I whinny my fervor lowly, for his length is not as great as those of the Hylian war stallions
I'm taking a long car trip, and i'm bringing my Gamecube with. However, the monitor its attached too has no speakers.. and i'll need speakers or headphones. Anybody know what I would need to get to do that?

My Logitech speakers came with a headphone adapter; RCA inputs on one side, headphone jack on the other. You must be able to get them somewhere.

I would guess a female RCA to female Stereo (Headphones) cable. It will look like a Y Splitter

You can get an adaptor that will convert two RCA stereo audio cables into one 3.5 mini-headphone adaptor. I've seen the ones that terminated into a male end at Radio Shack, although I'm not sure if they have female ones. If not, you could just take the male-terminated one, attach a 3.5 mini-headphone coupler, and plug your headphones into that. You should walk out there spending less than 10 bucks to do it.

But, how would you adjust the volume?
Most games don't have volume adjust internally

Doh, yeah, forgot about that. You can buy headphones with inline volume adjustment, I imagine you should be able to buy adaptors that can add that ability to other headphones...

ahh, a inline volume adjustment would work! I did not know they make those

Thanks

I can't say I've seen any that ADD the ability to headphones, but then again, I haven't really looked. ;) Still, I'm sure they exist, and if anyone's got them, it's bound to be Ratty Shack. If you want to get really creative, you could just buy a cheap pair of headphones that do have the adjustment device and mod it into an adaptor.

I JUST DID THIS!
I EVEN MADE A THREAD ABOUT IT!

Female to Female 1/8' Headphone jack
Y Adaptor (RCA to 1/8' Male Headphone)

That's it!
And get headphones with volume control!
