What do you think about age differences in relationships?

I'm about to be 37, and recently I dated a 22. I never really cared for carnaval, even thou my city is very famous for it, but she does and asked me to go enjoy and whatever in the streets. I even asked about getting a house to stop from time to time, take some water, rest a bit, and she said something like "why spending that much money in a house whe we can find some shadow to rest?! And water will be sold everywhere there. It's fine"

I'm looking for safety and comfort while she just wanna have fun. Two different worlds. Maybe not really age per se in this case, but in my 22s for sure I wouldn't care that much for safety, now I have a different mindset

It's creepy, always was and will be. Lots of rich dudes trade in their aging wives for a new revision model and often they have daughters around the same age as their new plaything. Don't trust any of the cunts
Yeah it's a rancid thing it has to be said. The bloke I was on about was loaded, he owned the company where he 'met' that 17 year old and my now missus worked at..

Just fucking grim.

He obviously used his 'boss image' as an impression.

The company folded as he's a twat anyway. Now works stacking shelves in Sainsburys.

No shits given.

Well, yes...

People say things like, "What will they say, if I'm like this?" Why should you care about other people's opinions? Those people who criticize you aren't your family, they don't support you financially, I don't know why they have to interfere in other people's business.

I had a notification, that led me to your post

And I have no idea what you're on about 🤷‍♂️

Did you quote me by accident before an edit?

It was a problem with my phone that wouldn't let me quote properly and edit correctly, my friend.

I was actually experimenting. I have trouble editing on my phone...

I was using my old cell phone. 😝

No worries bud, I just wondered what was going on :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I have trouble when using an old A41 on occasion

Fun conversation I've had with a boyfriend that was 10 years older:

Me: There's a ninja turtles game? 😱
He: Since 1989. Wtf how do you not know that?
Me: Because I was fucking 5 years old then.

OK, but how was the sex?
You didn't date her for the carnivals, the parties and the globe trotting, did you?

And for all the guys in here who have daughters and feel a much older man dating/marrying a much younger woman is gross… would you really be grossed out if your daughter was dating fucking Al Pacino or Dolph Lundgren?

It seems you just needed life to show you how different a 36 year old is from a 22 year old. And yes it is about experience, thus about age.

This is pure gold... It's their kryptonite.

Just like how women pretend to hug you and say nice things... and then say they like someone.

That's how you can make friends... to crush their egos.

The videos seems to be extremely reaching, maybe two women looked at her with spite.
And this woman would get looks from her outfit alone. Im all for slutty air stewardess, but i want them in my porn not the streets...

Sex is nice, and she was the one saying that wants to be casual

Also, Al Pacino I would be grossed, but Lundgren I would hang out for sure

Yeah, but even thou can be expected the aging thing, there's caveats. Like I said, I never really cared about carnaval, but I know old people (like 60+) that still is just waiting for the parties, so that's not a age thing, it's more personal. As a younger man I could go because, well, free party and woman. Now I'd rather expend a little money on comfort, and if a woman is on it, nice

I have this client who is primary school, and basically every worker there is woman, so one of the secretaries was talking with a manager that a mom came in to pay something for her child in tight gym clothes, and apparently not wearing panties... The worst enemy of a woman is just another woman

It's always a big problem as it usually means he older person is very immature or has controlling issues with a lack of self confidence which usually results in frustration and anger,

also when your 38 you more than likely do not want to go out all the time .. to bars and clubs. and then when you 50 and they are 30 something. .. ewww..

just don't.

Eh, live and let live. Wasn't there a survey somewhere in Japan that no. 1 occupation women wanted was housewife? In the West you get the "tradwife" variety.

With the way the world is you can't fault women for trying to play on "Easy", it's just important to understand what it is - she at 25 is with you at 40 because she wants to be taken care of + added benefit is thinking your sex drive will start to decrease in a few years so she won't have to perform so often in bed.

25 is on the older side of what I'm refering to, I have no problem with that

I think he was right to be shocked. YOu should have known about one of the hardest NES games ever created. There are also multiple TMNT Arcade games. All good.

A large age discrepancy in one direction makes total sense.

A large age discrepancy in the other direction is heartbreaking.

Nah.

If they both respect and trust each other, age doesn't matter. It's always bad to worry about what others will say...

Don't let that be important. What is a mistake, though, is dating a single mother, someone woman over 30, or a lawyer...

I dunno. If you're 30+ dating an 18 year old I think you should be on an FBI watch list.

We have it good as men. 8 year age difference between me and mrs esquie, 41-33 and she looks about 25. Chicks don't have the same luxury in terms of age difference with their biological clock and all that.

I wonder, given that men die earlier than women, if men ought to think about it a bit more though.

I look at Deniro and Pacino becoming fathers well beyond the average retirement age and think it's awful that their children won't know their fathers because probably die before they graduate high school. They'll both have to live to 100 to see their kids head to university. And even then, what quality of experience do you have when you're ten and your dad is in his 90s?

That runs further and further down too. Have a child at 50 and based on average life expectancy you'll be unlikely to see them get married, etc. Etc.

Many kids don't get to grow with their biological father anyway, and that gets even more likely the younger the biological father is.
An older dad means he'll likely be around until death. And if he runs away with a younger woman again, well, the kid has a chance to get a younger replacement.

Every option is fucked up, but I guess it's kinda better to be the offspring of a geriatric Al Pacino than the offspring of a pump-and-dump high schooler that you won't get to know at all.
And that's assuming that an 80yo and his 30yo wife even plan to have kids together, which is not a given at all.

18 is a legal age and is a consenting adult in most states in the USA. So it really should not be any of your business who's fucking who or dating at that age for that matter. Obviously, if it's someone under that then that 100% should be reported to the authorities. I lost my virginity at age of 17 but I was living in New York at the time and my girlfriend was 18 years old. New York's age of consent is actually 17 years old if you were not aware but in Florida (where I am now) is 18. I am not sure why that is, but I do find that rather odd.

My sister was 25 and she married her boyfriend at the time who was 35 which is a 10 year difference. When I was in my early 20s (about to turn 36 :( ) I had sex with women ranged from my age group and close to 50s, so get the fuck out of here with that bullshit. There are also plenty of women who prefer older men whether it be because of financial security or even looks. There are plenty of older guys who still look good, age is a lot worse for women anyway's when it comes to beauty standards. Then again, I've seen a good share of 50 year women with so much plastic surgery and bbls that they make a 20 year old look ancient. I live near Miami, this is the center of fake people, shallowness and hot looks and show-offs. So older women here looking like 20+ year old models is very common here and seeing an older man surrounded by multiple much younger women on his Yatch is VERY common.

Also, here is some more education for you and fun facts:

"In the United States, 7 states set the legal age of consent for sexual activity at 17 years old:
Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, New York, Texas, and Wyoming. In these jurisdictions, individuals aged 17 or older can legally consent to sexual activity
  • 17-Year-Old Consent States: Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, New York, Texas, Wyoming"

Sorry, but I wasn't attempting to rank best and worst outcomes of particular parents. I do however think that any man considering becoming a parent should consider being able to provide for, care for and be there for their children. Many, many people who lose parents would exchange their inheritance for time with their parent, no matter how much the bank balance swells.

In short, having children when you won't or can't be there for them is a crappy deal for them.

Just saw this article and it brought the thread to mind.

Rage simmers throughout every page of Half His Age. Based on a crumb of an idea McCurdy had nearly a decade ago while riding a bullet train in Japan, the book follows Waldo, a 17-year-old Alaskan who is sharp, lonely and full of desire. The latest thing she wants? Mr. Korgy, her married middle-aged creative-writing teacher.

"The self-awareness piece was so integral to Waldo," says McCurdy. "I didn't want people reading this book to undermine her just because she's younger than them. I wanted them to relate to her.

There's clearly a lot of personal stuff in the book. Sounds like she had a fucked up relationship with her mother in real life (her previous book, a memoir, was called I'm Glad My Mom Died), not sure about her dad. The centering of the plot and name being about a teenager pursuing an older man is clearly about sending a signal to the audience, as she states "I wanted them [readers] to relate to her [main character]".

So is this a very common thing for women to seek older men, and how tied in with that is a father figure role?

I believe a LOT of that behavior (younger woman/girl pursuing older men) is due to 'daddy issues'. But there is also childhood sex abuse warping their world view and good old fashioned gold digging/sugar daddy in there as well.

Attractive younger women/teenagers have a VERY valuable commodity (especially in this day and age of rampant morbid obesity) but it has a short expiration date, so they really do gotta cash it in when they can, however they can do it.

AI on OF is gonna SMASH that outlet though, so girls will flood back to breastaurants, escort sites, and clubs where real world tangibility is the exotic flavor.

If both are consenting legal adults, who cares. Obviously a 38 year old man is going to have a hard time relating to a 19 year old woman in most instances but that's between them.

My wife and I have a six year age difference, that's small enough it's not super noticeable aside from talking about our childhoods.

I watch these guys bang out winner after winner short skit and wonder how in the hell stuff like SNL sticks around.

Though even SNL is getting more into the pre-filmed skit so I guess they are trying to adapt.

Hollywood is cooked even a couple folks with an iphone and a halloween decoration skull can out-funny 50 million dollar films.

That's a lot of words to justify why old people dating high schoolers isn't weird. Weird hill to die on, but OK.

It may be weird and immoral but it's not against our biology. Men aged 18-60 will always want to have sex with young, fertile women.

And comparing it pedophilia really undermines what pedophilia is, pedos are not attracted to woman body in the first place (they want children pre puberty).

18 years old is not a high schooler. By the time I was 18 I went to college. And I am not justifying anything, I am literally just explaining to you that a person who's at 18 years of age has every right to date however older men/women they want and they have full consent... That's just a fact, so I am not sure is hard to understand here. It's completely their right as a human at that point who they wanna fuck. Men are also not the only ones who are older and may want to date younger women. There are plenty of older women as well who are okay with dating a much younger guy. Too them it gives them validation that they still got the looks and that young men still want them, it goes both ways. It's not a one sided street lol.

I personally would not ever date anyone under 23 years of age at this point of my life. For me that's too much of a gap, 23 and above is fine for me and if a girl at age of under 23 asked me asked me to date me I would just respectfully decline simply because mentally we are not at the same level and she is also at a completely different stage of life.

In the US, majority of people turn 18 during senior year. This varies by state, but California for example has a September 1st cutoff. This means majority of high schoolers (who didn't advance a grade or get held back) will be 18 near the start of senior year or by the end of it.

Yes, I get it's legally acceptable, but to me if some older guy is dating an 18 year old they fall into one of two categories:

1.) They've had relationships with younger (underage)

2.) They would like to date younger, but the only thing stopping them is the age of consent laws

I get what you are saying and yeah there are creeps out there for sure I am not denying that. I do not have any kids but if I ever did then I too would be weary as well, especially if it's a girl. There are a lot of fucked up people out there. I never lived in California and do not know California laws and to be quite honest I cannot stand California. When I was younger I wanted to live there, but as the years went by I saw California turn into a shittier and shitter state every time I went there on yearly basis for work purposes. I am very happy where I live and have zero plans ever living anywhere else.
