Tenacious-V

Thinks his PR is better than yours.
I'm making a DVD off of all the video I took from a trip I recently had (about 20 hours of footage). I'm currently in the process of converting it all so I can burn it to DVD. But I don't want it to be just basic like burn n play sorta deal. I want to make menu's, chapters, maybe some animated clips as icons, music in the bacground, etc.

What would be the best program to get to do all this for me. It's fine if it's a little complicated, cause I'll learn it all anyway for future projects. This is going to be a DVD I send out to family and friends n stuff. Anyone here do a lot of this type of thing, can you give me some program suggestions??

Thanks in advance!

Well, I would use iDVD, but, IT SUCKS.

It's nice and simple and all, but apparently nobody at Apple has heard of this new format called 'widescreen'.

Douches.

I use DVDSanta, it's a nice tool and gives the best quality, and I've never had any problems with audio cutting out or audio going out of sync like I've had with Nero.

Unfortunately it makes the forward / rewind useless, just doesn't work, but sutomatically makes chapters 3 minutes apart, so it's not so bad. It's also a HUGE resource hog.

Would like to know if there is a good program I can make menus for already processed video though. Nero can, but it's full of shit. and wants to re encode everything again to something which I cannot fill all the video I had already set up to.
