Got all the way to Daimons second form only to face a brick wall. My weapons are tooth picks, even with periapts x4 he wrecks me. I went through hell and back, worst gauntlet I've faced in a video game in a long time, with loads of brutal enemies pounding my ass into oblivion. And then I get snubbed at the finish line. I don't even. Urgh, right now I don't wanna see this game anymore.

Final Fantasy VII Remake. Would recommend, unfortunately I'm currently away from home for a couple days so I won't be making progress until Tuesday. Just passed Wall Market and it was a blast. I'm having the most fun playing Aerith right now, she's really useful especially against bosses.

Animal Crossing...

I never knew that Animal Crossing would suck off so much of my time. If there hadn't been a lock-down, I may never even had time to play the game at satisfactory level.
I thought I would be able to play the game a bit, and jump back and forth to another game easy (I was doing Resident Evil Revelations 2 going, halfway in) - but it ended up sucking up "all" of my gaming time. (And I am not doing time-skipping)

Currently trying to build my island 5 star rating as I like. More I dig into, I see more the creative things I can do and attention to the detail, it's just amazing.
After I'm done with decorating the whole island (big landscaping and zoning is done - just need to move things around and decorate) - as well as about half of my intended bridges/inclines are all done.... and as I see more $$$ coming in (just invested in 500k worth of Turnips - hopefully it will give me some good return).

Once all done, will expand the house as big as I can and try to maintain S rank. I think I can achieve it in a couple of weeks... so after that, it would be trying to complete the Museum. Once I get that point, I think I can play other games while just checking upon the AC once a new content is available...

I just finished Darksiders Genesis. I go into games mostly blind these days, so I was expecting a Diablo clone from the little media I had seen. It was weird just getting another Darksiders game in isometric format.

Finished Doom Eternal and Strider (2014)

As I never played Doom 3 (besides an hour or so in teh past) decided to stick with the Doom theme and play that as Ive played 1, 2, 2016 and Eternal. Need to play Doom 64 as well but Ill do that later.

Im about 3-4 hours in Doom 3 now and this game isnt great IMO. I understand its supposed to be slower paced but it doesnt feel like Doom, especially coming off Doom Eternal. It seems like your character is constantly slow. I do think the graphics and lighting look great for the time. I plan on finishing it though.

Super Mario 64 DS is nowhere near as frustrating for me now as I remember it to be. The controls are still sort of wonky compared to the original, but I am having a ton of fun. It's remarkable how well the game has held up to this day.

If I had to rate the controls of the DS version, it would be like a 78, verses the original's controls which are around 95.

Currently playing Final Fantasy VII Remake. Just got to chapter 3 and doing some side quests stuff. I'm getting mauled by the camera settings and the flow of battle during encounters but I'm really loving it so far. The battle system is just perfect.

Currently playing Resident Evil 3 Remake on PC on Hardcore. I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would.

Just waiting for Streets of Rage 4 at this point when it's out next week.

Gone back to original FF7 via Steam, Don't Starve Together with the missus and am currently playing numerous Amiga games on and off.

The Simpsons: Bart VS The Space Mutants
Ikari Warriors
Turrican
Ghouls n Ghosts

Mount & Blade II Bannerlord
I'm completely addicted. I have 80 hours of playtime in less than 2 weeks. I can't stop playing.
It's still in early access. But the potential is insane. There's already dozens of mods.

So I've been playing some Chinese indie game call 'Rending Sky'.
What drew me to it was the naked chick with the spear and shield :) When she (Rhea?) loses enough health, she also loses her shield (and the abilities is provides) and her sole piece of clothing - that sheet thing. There is no X-rated nudity though - just the occasional nipple or butt.
It plays like a REALLY janky Final Fight, so I cant really recommend it for the gameplay, but I can recommend it for the art style and character design.
The game plays okay-ishly once you get a handle on the controls. The naked chick can run around and has good mobility. She can also counter attacks with her shield, and she needs that to beat some of the bosses. The bosses will also kick your ass, until you learn to move, attack and counter properly.
There are two other playable characters. One is a blind swordsman, whose whole game revolves around landing counters. He's probably the most powerful character once you get used to his playstyle and the timing required for it. And then you have an angry orc brawler. He has good dash mobility and can run into an even bigger and angrier monster.
The game has some good ideas, like the different playstyles and ways to beat bosses, but the execution is rough.
Relatively short game too. Beat it in about 7 hours (with one of the characters), which is fine as I only paid $10 AUD for it. I've put in about 10 hours now.

I'm still going in Animal Crossing; got the wife on it when she takes a Sims break. I'll be starting Days Gone in a couple days.

Currently playing Fallen Order and loving every minute of it. It has been so long since playing a good Star Wars game. Just finished Kashyyyk, got the double jump power and explored 100% of that planet.
Playing on the hardest difficulty and I have to say that I do suck a bit at parrying attacks. Makes me a bit more scared of playing the Souls games and Sekiro.

*EDIT*
VERY nice sound on my home theatre setup!!!!!!!!

I finished off Axiom Verge and Bastion, now I'm back to Dishonored 2.

Axiom was great fun, but I was disappointed by the fact that some in-game items are locked behind passwords that need to be worked out outside of game. It doesn't do anything but encourage looking up the answer for all but a handful of players, and it felt like cheating so I ignored it and moved on.

Bastion was okay, it'd been an on and off playthrough over the span of several years. It was more just finishing it off to tick the box.

Dishonored 2 I loaded up in the middle of a level and 5 minutes later I'm at the Jindosh puzzle. Spent some time with a pen and paper then eventually looked it up on YouTube and felt like I wasted my time. Some of it is too poorly written, vague, and flat out depending on guesswork for me to enjoy it as logic. So I'm going to ignore that and move on.

Gave up on far cry new dawn and decided to get back into xenoblade 2. Having to grind to meet the requirements of a skill check just so I can open a door. Overall I like the game, but whoever decided these skill checks were a good idea need to have their heads examined.

I find it incredible that Doom 3 was so highly reviewed when it came out. I get its supposed to be slower paced and more scary, but this game is not really that fun to play. As I said, static graphics, environments and lighting all look really good, they must have looked incredible at the time. But the character models and demons look really wonky. Imps run all crazily, and when you kill them the ragdoll physics are laughable. THe cacodemons have physics like baloons, When you shoot them they blow and tumble all over the place.

But really its just the boredom of the game. Its - go into a tight room, hallways, industrial type area. Shine your light around, kill demons who are hiding/pop out. Turn around as a monster closet opened behind you, kill, oh some demons spawned kill. Then explore area, go to next corridor/area. I just finished the hell area, that actually got different and a bit cooler, but now im back in industrial areas again.

I’ve picked Mark of the Ninja back up.

For one, it’s a pick up and play sort of game and its all I want lately. Secondly, it’s a really smooth and fun game. Third, it’s stealth and I love that. I naturally fall into going for no kill/no alert gameplay, but I might switch it up and start murdering dudes.

I agree with you. I don't know why they were trying to compare themselves with Half Life 2 so hard at the time. 3 makes Doom 2016 all the more impressive.

Klei is one of those indie developers along with Supergiant Games that can do no wrong. Both studios are so massively talented that it's insane.

I would like to see Klei do a follow up to Mark of the Ninja though at some point.

Most times best open worlds that are made on pc at least. Division , AC origins , AC oddysey, far cry 5 . Ubisoft all the way. And when i want some racing most times forza 7 / horizon but that was long time ago.
divison 2 over 400 hrs did in just solo and almost zero dark zones.

Really enjoying TerraTech. you build vehicles like in Banjo Nuts & Bolts, but they're mostly for combat and you collect new parts largely from destroyed enemies.. There's also a little bit of factory stuff going on as well, power management, conveyor belts.... I REALLY want to make a little factory that I can drive around but I don't think you can make factories that aren't anchored.

Doom Eternal

also bought DOOM and DOOM II last night cos they were $3. haven't played through either in about a decade so i'll be reliving some classic retro feels tonight!

dude, those two games just do not age. they still hold up today and i imagine they always will. every once in a while ill fire up doom 1 and 2, playing a mix 80's slayer and metallica, and early 90's cannibal corpse, and just have a fuckin blast.

although the soundtrack for the originals is fantastic as well. so i wont always play other music... but its fun to switch it up, and that 80's metal fits so perfectly since the OG soundtrack was based off those bands

Alien: Isolation

Hearing the alien's footsteps and the sound of him crawling through vents is very unnerving, they did a really good job making him very intelligent.

Yesterday was my birthday and I got Rodea the Sky Soldier for Wii U and a friend also gave me Pokemon Shield. I'll get into them soon, but I'm waiting on a new memory card and I'm addicted to animal crossing right now.

A couple nights ago I started playing the trial version of Final Fantasy XIV to see what it's like. Normally MMORPGs aren't really my thing, but I'm trying to find something with a little more substance to play online with my kids. There's only so much Roblox and Fortnite I can take. World War Z was a nice little detour from our normal stuff, but I was thinking it might be cool to do something different. Gonna look at ESO soon, too.

It only took 3-4 months, but I finally beat xenoblade chronicles 2. Overall, fun rpg despite its map system driving me up a wall at times.

I eventually plan on playing ff7r, once it finishes downloading sometime next week.

Rise of the Tomb Raider.

I haven't completed it yet, in fact I'm only about 30% through but its bloody dull. I really liked the 2013 reboot so I'm quite surprised. The level I'm on at the moment, Siberia, is particularly boring. I really don't want to go on tbh. The lifeless environment, Lara is a pain in the arse, platforming is poor, combat is frantic and brainless, does it improve? All that's keeping me going is the Trinity story and I want to see if that Jacob bloke is friend or foe.

I just got the platinum trophy for The Evil Within. Akumu difficulty is the most frustrating thing I've ever faced in a game. Everything in the game that causes damage kills you instantly. Everything. I practically raged my way through chapters 11 and 12.

Now I'm going to play The Evil Within 2.

Took yet another break in DQ 11. It has been a great ride, wonderful adventure with a great story and fun characters, but I just don't have the energy to tackle post-game now. I'm 75 hours in and it seems like at least 30-35 hours more of grinding and leveling up to the final boss. Puh. But I really want to finish it properly so I will return to it when I've played some other games.

Continued with Luigi's Mansion 3 and it's on a slow path to become my favourite game on Switch. It's so much fun and I'm very impressed with the graphics and physics. I was not ready for the level of interactivity and just about every object in the game is destructible in one way or another. The lighting is on another level and every floor looks absolutely beautiful with a spooky and vibrant design on the different floors. The ghosts are hilarious and the boss fights very creative. Fucking love this game.

Congratulations. Akumu is hell on Earth. Most brutal mode I've ever played. Chapter 6 and 11 tested my patience to the absolute breaking point. Damn good feeling when you completed it though and the Platinum plinged.

Nier Automata. I’m 9 hours in and it’s enjoyable so far. But for a game where the plot is supposed to be the star, I feel like it’s meandering about with no real focus.
