Finally finished Persona 5 Royal. Mid week. Logged in time around 270 - 80 hours.
Took about 10 tries of trial & error for the last hidden boss - but felt great once I finally defeated. Saw every single endings, events for every single confidants and events, etc...
I think I was more invested in this than the original, as the original - although I achieved platinum, I felt like I missed out quite a bit, so P5R, I just decided to go really in depth.
I can honestly say, that I am 100% done with Persona 5 and 5R. P5S - I think I will just hold off a bit. (It's still in shrink-wrap) It's supposedly a nostalgic reunion, son I may just give myself some physical time off from P5 characters, rather than diving in.

Now I'm playing Yakuza Zero on game pass... I only played PS2 version of 1 & 2, and Kenzan and 3 on PS3. Am thinking about going thru each one game pass starting from Zero to 6, but taking breaks in between by one game or two. Although I did love Yakuza games - I was feeling a bit fatigued by the time I played 3, so I gave up on the series. Will see how this goes, and how different Kiwami versions are from original 1 & 2.

For Yakuza Zero, I actually intended to just go thru the story quickly and get done with it in 20 hours or so... but I just got side-tracked and doing the sub quests now. I'm actually pretty hooked on the mini-car circuit race thing now. And oh how the money rolls in this bubble era Japan. Damn. Parody of MJ and Spielberg, along with Thriller theme - it really made me laugh as well. Hopefully it will keep up but won't burn me out this time around.

I’m going through a Roguelite phase. Dead Cells and Hades. Completely different approaches and both are amazing. Dead Cells plays great on Switch but IMO the screen is too small to do Hades justice. I need it on XSX.

Been back into Fallout 76 with the new 60fps patch. The writing, music, atmosphere, base building. Such a good game. Hella underrated.

Monster Hunter Rise is amazing. Will double dip when it goes to PC, and then will download the Gamepass version once it makes it there for the hat trick.

I beat Prey last night.
Have to take back some of what I said in the previous post, overall had a great time through most of the campaign up until the part leading up to the finale which was just horrible, frustrating and kind of ruined the game for me. I think I've had enough to pass on the DLC, shame as there is so much in the game that just works like charm, both mechanically and narratively, you make some really meaningful choices that really do shape the story as you go. At times I thought this is what I wanted Cyberpunk to be like... Arkane studio at their best - but not free from mistakes IMO.
The post-credits twist made it all worth it tho

Just picked up these two gems from Housemarque. Love their games but somehow missed the release of both of them. 🤷‍♂️

Finished the first level of Matterfall. Fun dual-stick shooter with amazing animation! The complexity of the controls doesn't really seem to add anything but still enjoying it.

I love Resogun, Super Stardust and Nex Machina. Matterfall? Didn't like it and the last boss was a real challenge for me.

Finished Forza Motorsport 7 and played a little in Genesis Noir.

Finished The Wolf Among Us. I first played this on the Vita a couple of years back, but never finished it due to me losing my Vita. When I first played it I thought it was great, but this second time it felt pretty mediocre. The ending was unsatisfactory and the qtes were rubbish. I'm also quite tired of Telltales games, they all look, play and sound the same. No wonder they went bankrupt. When it comes to this genre, Quantic Dream is way better. Detroit pretty much shits all over Telltales whole output.

Juggling a few.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - It's bonkers. Running through on easy just to get the story. Definitely not like any other MG game I've played.

Resident Evil 2 HD - So far I'm liking it. Not sure I'm playing it right since I'm not sure where to go, so it should probably take me a while to finish. Guess I could just use the map and explore more. Hope to finish it before Village comes out.

-Cyberpunk 2077 - Just playing it sparingly since the new update. It's better, but still not great obviously.

-Neotokyo Kshatriya Demo - Pretty cool story mode making use of the Neotokyo assets. Trying to speedrun it a little.

Counter Strike: Source

I know the game is 17 years old, but it still has a huge community of players and is still one of the best online shooters ever made.

Also playing a lot of Battlefield V.

Really going through an online shooter phase at the moment.

Recently completed Yakuza Zero...that game especially on the final 2 bosses was literally joypad waggling, pressing any buttons to see what attacks I could do, and after multiple attempts I finally got through..outside of that a good game, but should have nailed the 80s vibe better, most of the women in the game looked like they came out from the early 2000's....let alone 1988...and the music too..

Got back into Shadow of the Tomb raider yesterday could very well be the first ever Tomb Raider game I have completed....will look to go back onto the PS3 somepoint seeing as what is going on with its store..

Just wrapped up Avengers Enhanced on PS5.

It was a fun “popcorn-film” campaign.

Now I’m going to experience Dark Souls (Remastered) for the very first time on PS5.

Doom 2016. I never finished it because I got in the mode of trying to get all skill points/secrets. I’m just playing it now. If I miss something, whatever. I hate when skill points are tied to finding shit in levels.

I'm currently playing the waiting game.....

My PS4 Pro has a 2TB internal, and a 6TB external. Both are nearly full. I'm upgrading the external to an 8TB, so there's lots of moving games from the internal to the new external, then reconnecting the old external and moving games to the internal, then reconnecting the new external......and rinse and repeat. It's not a difficult task, just an incredibly time-consuming one. The first internal to new external transfer says it's going to take 5 hours. I'll have to do all this AT LEAST 2 more times. Yeah, any gaming on my PS4 this weekend is mostly shot to hell. Guess I'll just have to boot up the old PS2 or PS3 and play something on those while I wait.

Sigh, first-world game hoarder problems......

Sly cooper 1 on psnow.

this is the first time I tried the service and it’s working great for a platformer. I just hit the Mz Ruby rhythm fight and the buttons are out of sync with the music, so I figured it was the streaming. Didn’t know it’s just an issue in the collection and people complained about it years ago. That sucks and made it a bit harder.

Ghost Squad on the Wii, it's very short (can complete all 3 levels in 30 minutes) but fun, and it varies a bit in routes when you replay.

I bought a few other Wii games second-hand during lockdown, like Endless Ocean, the Conduit, Metroid Prime 3, mostly super cheap (£2 - £5).

Man, the wii was great for arcade shooters.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon

I have already played Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 2, but Like a Dragon is my favorite so far (10h in).

I love everything about it: the story, the characters, the combat, presentation ...

My only complaint so far is that it has too many cutscenes. Like, holly fuck, I must have played 3h of the 10h that I've played.

But I dont care that much because I'm really invested in the story so far.

Really glad that they have voiced so many of the dialogue. It really helps with the immersion.
That's something that I disliked in Yakuza 0, too much unvoiced dialogue hurt the presentation badly.

Thanks for the info on Matterfall. Never heard of it till now. I love Housemarque games too, even though I'm poo at them.
Picked up Matterfall from Amazon :)

DBZ Kakarot (PS5) - Beat on PC already, but want the platinum on playstation. Also will play through DLC

Ghost of T (PS5) - Only 2 hours in but already one of the best games i ever played.

Resident Evil 3 (PS5) - Didn’t play too much yet but i started it.

Mafia 3 (PS5) - Hella underrated. Love the story so far

Monster Hunter Ice borne (PS5) - 100 hours when i was on Xbox. Decided to move to PS this gen and replay this. Didn’t play ice on Xbox though.

Smite - Sucks i can’t transfer my data from Xbox (6 years of playing) but still playing on PS nevertheless

Completed Hades yesterday for the first time. Took me 30 attempts to beat Hades. Very fun game but I lost a bit of patience towards the end. Not sure if I ever play this kind of game again. 8/10

Now I‘m bouncing back and forth between varier trophys in Dead Rising (did my 53k kills yesterday) and farming in Dark Souls 3 to get all the spells there (this is going to take forever... drop rates are so bad for the covenant items...).

mostly Avengers. I bounced off of it for awhile. So i came back to play as Kate Bishop & Hawkeye. And i never leveled any hero up fully. So im finally getting around to unlocking all their skills. Im also replaying the campaign

I pretty much finished Apex's battle pass for the season. I will jump back into that the final week. Im halfway thru Destiny's battle pass for this season. So i gotta jump back into that soon.

i really want to get back to Arkham Origins, but my PS3 died. So im not sure if its worth buying a PS3 off ebay. Or just rebuying all my PS3 games on my 360 (or the remasters of whichever ones have one).

Hot Shots Golf Fore! (PS2) - Been revisiting the entire HSG series and im settling on 4. I havent played this in over 10 years. I just unlocked a new course, 10 years later. I cannot believe how much content is in this game. Its like 3 Hot Shots games combined. This is back before DLC - when they actually finished games and put them on the disc. Probably my favorite golf game and one of any Playstation's best exclusives. The courses here are too good.

Pikmin [Gamecube] - I didnt give this one its proper due back when it came out. Im really appreciating it more now, 20 years later. A simple, charming game, but also this is probably the most unpolished Miyamoto game ive played. Theres some really suspect controls here.

Daytona USA [XB1] - Cant resist the daily Dinosaur Canyon run.

Sega Ages Outrun [Sega Saturn] - The 60fps mode the devs made specifically for this version is one of the greatest gifts in gaming history. Even the arcade version only runs at 30fps.

LA Machineguns, House of the Dead 2/3, and Ghost Squad [Wii] - I went on a wii lightgun game buying spree recently - since lightguns dont work on HDTVs outside of wii's sensor bar, its a genre my gaming library was sorely missing. Been a blast playing these. I wish they made Virtua Cop for wii.

Yakuza 0 [XB1] - Not the biggest fan of Yakuza (i only played the PS2 ones in the past), but im playing it in small spurts to avoid burn out.

Octopath Traveler. A couple of things: I don't like pixel art games, I have trouble sticking with 90+ hour games that aren't MMOs. And yet...this is easily something I would slap the "masterpiece" tag on. Just brilliant execution and free-form exploration. The added class mix and match mechanics are gravy on an already sumptuous feast of a game.

Probably one of the best games I've played in the last decade.

I haven’t played one of these since the ps2, but picked up a few on sale in my backlog. Is 0 the one to start with? That seems like a huge mountain to get to the new releases.

The Last of Us Part II™

It's okay. I think I haven't reached the controversial parts yet. Exploration is quite enjoyable and feels like Metro Exodus. I love the way environments look.

I decided to start Dark Souls 3. I'm not sure I'm gonna stick with it though. Not because it's bad. But because it's just more Dark Souls, and the genre is starting to feel repetitive. I'll play it for a few more hours and see how I feel about sticking with it.

What time is it?
My buddy just purchased a Series S so I've had my Outriders character parked just past the tutorial while he waits for it to arrive.

I'm getting close to wrapping up all the quests in MH:Rise. I need to get back to my no pants run of Disco Elysium.

Disco Elysium, MH Rise, Outriders, and Cogmind. Just finished the Cyberpunk story after 115 hours or so. Some of the best character models during cutscene I've seen before, my goodness.

Felt the same when I completed it the other week. Even though it‘s arguably the best Souls game it was, to me, only as fun to play as Dark Souls 2. There was just too much Souls like stuff since the original Demons Souls. Also thought the 3 was a bit too long and had too many bosses. Remember every single boss fight from the original Dark Souls but it 3 only the Nameless King really stuck with me.
