If i can just say, the orig Far Cry game is quite different to the sequels under Ubisoft, especially compared to the recent Far Cry games. So if you dont like the orig game, dont let it put you off the sequels. some of them are fantastic.OG Far Cry.
I've never played a Far Cry game before. Figured I'd start with the first one.
It's been interesting modding it and trying to get it running properly with ancient mod guides.
New York Expansion 70% off on psn at least, not sure if everywhere. You know you’ll want itStarted The Division 2 again yesterday, already 10 hours in.
God the grind for loot is so addicting in these games.
No 1980s version requiring graph paper?I’m playing Wizardry 1. I started on the NES version which I like a lot, but I can’t deal with the lack of an auto map in this day and age, so I switched to the PSX remake version which has a built in auto map.
The NES version requires it, and as much as I enjoyed that sort of thing back in the day, I just don’t have time or patience for that these daysNo 1980s version requiring graph paper?

I feel the same. I much prefer the first gameSuikoden II.
I would recommend it after playing the first one. Still I ain't as impressed as the people who'd put this one in their top RPGs/games. One thing I wasn't expecting is that I often want to mute the sound while playing because I dislike the music very often. Meanwhile the first game's soundtrack was very much to my liking.
I've also been more quickly replaying the first game. And it really makes me wish they had implemented some of the quality of life aspects to the first game like innate ability to dash, party inventory, etc. It also is more animated (more sprites for animation frames). Still, first game is still my favourite of the two so far.I feel the same. I much prefer the first game
The second game also has a lot of filler, from back when having a longer gameplay time on the box meant it was a better value to peopleI've also been more quickly replaying the first game. Yea im giving this game a chance after last night. I’ve had zombies spawn and disappear in front of me. And yea some of the dialogue is a bit strange. Especially the bit you talked about.Started Days Gone.
I really belly laughed when Deacon muttered to himself about "getting some ointment/meds(?) for Boozers arm".
His voice broke at the end of the dialogue, and it sounded like he was about to burst into laughter or tears.
I can't describe it, it just sounded so comical. I had to pause the game while I composed myself.
Enemy AI is as dumb as a bag of rocks.
I'm liking it so far though
Indeed GOT is awesome, i very rarely replay from start after finishing an open world game and i did it for Ghost Of Tsushima, last time i did it it was RDR1, just shows how much i loved this game lolPlaying Ghost of Tsushima. It’s kind of been a roller coaster for me. At first I wasn’t sure how much I was going to like it because it felt mechanically like every other open world game, but now after just starting Act III I get what all the fuss was about. Game is gud. After ending Chapter II with Kage it’s clear the game has a lot of thought put into the story, and it’s got a few of those quiet reflective moments that remind me a little of the giraffe sequence from The Last of Us.
I also like the duality between trying to remain samurai or playing as The Ghost. It feels like there could’ve been a good chance to implement a light/dark system with regard to character development, but maybe they felt it was going to punish players for going a certain route. I still like how it affects the story, with Jin being a realist with regard to fighting the Mongols and using their own tactics against them and becoming a hero of the people while all the existing power structure feels he is a loose cannon and no better than the Mongols in many ways.
It’s damn fine looking too. I remember when I was a kid there was an arcade game called The Legend of Kage, where you ran through forests sometimes in the dark during a lightning storm killing fools with katana and throwing stars and I used to play that level over and over because of how atmospheric it was. This game’s entire world is like that. It’s simply stunning.
