Time is short these days so playing these arcade gems:
Contra: Operation Galuga: Looks and plays different from the older ones but having a blast.
Valfaris: Mecha Therion: Pure fun shmup/melee game with adrenalin pumping metal blasting in the background. Generous checkpoints make it a stress-free experience just soaking in the sites and sounds as you deal with crazy looking enemies and beautiful pixel art.
Darksiders 2: The D4 announcement finally got me motivated to get the remastered version running on the steamdeck but my old save file doesn't work. Remember it somewhat overstaying its welcome last time so not sure if I have the patience to slog through it again.
HyperParasite: Had it for a while but it just now grabbed me. It's a twin-stick shooter where you can take over an enemies body giving you their powers and weapons. Sort of a take on Kirby's gameplay mechanics. Double dipped on PC and Switch.
