Every other day or so when I come from school/work, when I want to unwind and relax there's a ritual I go through. Part of that ritual is Blazing Lazers on the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16, one of my favourite 2D shooters, but most definitely the one game I'm most addicted to. I've tried quitting the game for good, but however long I resist, the more I play when I give in to the urges.

So I ask, is any game like that for you? A game you'll probably play to your death?

I'd register a vote for Tetris as well. A lot of games come and go, but every time I play a version of Tetris, it's still fresh, addictive, and fun.

For about 2 years I was completley addicted to morrowind, untill i had exhausted virtually every possible thing you could do in it. I heart the elder scrolls. (I still love morrowind but i'm not compulsivley playing it.)

Edit: and Original UT (the original AND the best!)

Even though I don't get a chance to play it very often anymore, whenever I see Flying Shark in an arcade I simply have to play it. I've been playing that game for decades already and I still haven't had enough. There's just something about it...

Ultimate Wizard by EA/Progressive Peripherals & Software for the C-64.

I don't play it now as often as I used to, but a couple of weeks ago, I dusted it off again, and after a one game refresher, I blasted through 20 levels without losing a life. If this game would get a little of the preservation/update love that the Lode Runner franchise gets, I'd be in heaven.

Counter-Strike 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, & Source - Been playing for the last two or three years and I do not think I'll ever stop playing it. Its the best FPS ever, imo.

Wario Ware (GBA) would be one if I hadn't lost the cartridge. Haven't played Touched. Melee is another. Jungle Beat seems like it'll be one. I just got all platinums last night, but I still want to improve my scores.

Tetris GB is definitely a great choice.

I seem to have a cyclical addiction to the Diablo series. Every time I think I'm finally done with it for good, I end up wasting another significant chunk of my life plowing through demons for ph4t l00t. God help me if they ever make another one.

Definitely Tetris.. my favorite version is Tetris DX for GBC, followed closely by the one mentioned above.. on the GB..

GoldenEye will always hold a special place in my heart.. and Perfect Dark still has great multiplayer..

Alot snes games I cant seem to let go of. Like I doubt a years gone by that I have not annually done Secret of Mana and SD3. Disgaea I have clocked at 317 plus hours. It seems took year of my life off and on already
