Chronos the new dawn. Silent Hill F. Silksong. Daemon x machina titanic scion. I'm getting Shinobi and MK Legacy Collection but the physical copies of those don't arrive until dec/jan next year. I'm thinking about getting Star Wars Outlaws on S2 if the port isn't completely busted but I might hold out on it otherwise my wallet probably won't heal up for a few months. September is crazy this year.

Was considering Hell is Us if the reviews/impressions were good, since the demo was pretty fun and it's "only" $60.

Now though, my gaming time in September is for SilkSong

This month is fucking insane. I'm legitimately curious why the release calendar looks like this.

Day 1 Purchase:
  • Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
  • Shinobi: Art of Vengeance
  • Silent Hill f
  • Cronos: The New Dawn
  • Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles
  • Hollow Knight: Silksong

Wait to Purchase:

  • Lost Soul Aside
  • Metal Eden
  • Hell is Us
  • Borderlands 4

Thing is, if it weren't for this ridiculous lineup, I would have purchased all of these day one.

Gears and MGS dayone for me.

It's remake/old school gen for me.

I'm playing old country, then it's The Last of Us 1 and 2 remakes, Gears and MGS3.

Couldn't be more happy, Silent Hill 2 being the highlight recently.

Borderlands 4, that's it. Was excited for Lost Soul Aside for the last 5 years until I saw they not only added difficulty settings, but are forcing players to beat bosses on nightmare difficulty without using items for trophies. I don't normally base my buying decisions on achievements, but there was supposed to be an adaptive difficulty where the game would adjust to how well, or how bad, you are playing…they changed the whole vision of what the game was supposed to be. The fact that they added hard and nightmare, on top of a boss rush mode, shows me that they are trying to artificially balloon the play time, as well as cater to the BS Soulslike era we are existing in right now. Sucks that this game seems to have lost its vision once they added devs and a bigger team. Sad, and I don't think I'm alone in this. I would have rather them taken 5 more years on the game, than to turn it into what I think it's been turned into 😔

SH f, Chronos, Silksong for me. Hell is Us if it reviews really well. Why no love for Indiana Jones DLC in the poll? Probably gonna play that first.
Oops, I just forgot that one. I just added it. (Turns out I had one more poll slot I could use.)

Buying: FF Tactics, Trails, Atelier Resleriana, Silk Song, Gears
Maybe: Silent Hill, MGS

No way I can play all these games in one month.

Only one I'll be picking up is Gears of War Reloaded since I got it for free owning the previous Ultimate Edition remaster.

Played the demos for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance which easily moved that into the buy territory after I get through my backlog games.

Tried the first few minutes of the demo for Trails in the Sky remake, and it runs quite well. Wanted to get into the series, and I even own the original on Steam...are they gonna give a loyalty discount at all?

Cronos: The New Dawn and Silent Hill f in the same mount, didn't know, yes please.

Horror porn right there, these 2 could fill my September and October without a need for anything else.

I'm looking at that list and while there are games I'd be down to playing, I'm not hyped for anything at all. Everything just feels mid.

Is it just me?
It depresses me, nothing but sequels, remakes, re-relases and AA temptations to recapture the feel of dead AAA franchises, everything far from original, looking backwards instead of forward.

I have every finger crossed at once that they both turn out good. The only particularly negative preview of Cronos all had issues with things I thought were a plus so I'm hoping real hard here!

Does anyone know how many of these games are coming to Game Pass? Paging adamsapple adamsapple

I need to save some money next month 😩

I don't think Cronos is doing a good enough job raising awareness. I'm using pretty low on the idea of spending a ton on marketing in the social media era, but something needs to be done here. Game looks like such a breath of fresh air, and unless I missed a really bad gameplay trailer, it should be getting more love here on GAF.

I'm really hesitating, but I know I will at least get those later if not day one :

MGS Delta
Cronos : The new Dawn
FF Tactics (even if the filter is egregious)
Silent Hill F (this one is day one for sure)
Shinobi Art of Vengeance (maybe later)

And don't get me started on October / November...

Also, I don't think I've seen Kirby in the list (not that I care about the game, but Indy DLC being listed...).

Me too honestly, I'm going on these two based on the experience I had with Silent Hill 2 remake and yeah, The Medium was also good.

So far from previews, SH f gives me the best vibe, I guess we'll see, in the end it may be the other way around.

I hope Gears warrants a playthrough. I replay part 1 fairly regularly on PC, so if it's not a big jump, I'll probably hold off. Hopefully busy as hell with Cronos and Snake Eater Delta. I'm expecting one of those two to be my GOTY. Really only competition they have for me is AtomFall.

Silent Hill F
Cronos
Shinobi

I am looking at others but they may need a sale. Tactics for $50 with essentially zero upgrade in graphics? lul
