I would buy Metaphor, but I don't trust Atlus not to release the Metaphor: ReFantazio Royale Reloaded Plus Ultra edition in a few years with the rest of the story, so I'm gonna hold off on that one personally.

Space Marine 2 and Dragon Quest are day ones for me though.

If by some fucking miracle Silksong comes out later this year I'm getting that day 1. YS X probably too since my PC can probably run it decently and there will probably be regional pricing on Steam.
Otherwise I'll spend the rest of the year playing through some of the games in my 2022 to early 2024 backlog, buying stuff every now and then when there's a good sale

Yeah they'll just release an improved and expanded version of the game in 2-3 years.
I'm waiting for that. I like Atlus games, but not enough to buy and play them twice within 2-3 years.

Probably something else too that gets raving reviews. As for the big jrpgs i'm unsure, as I recently started my journey to get through the Trails and YS series. Which means I'm not really in need of new jrpgs for a looong. Will definitly play some other stuff in between though, and that Metaphor game looks awesome.

MGS probably comes closest, but very few developers/publishers have the consistent trust for me to buy day 1 and Konami certainly isn't on that list any more.

Silent Hill 2 might be good, but there are no guarantees.

The only purchase I've had day 1 this year is Shadow of the Erdtree. Trust is earned when it comes to me parting with my money.
