What games are you currently playing?

I haven't really been into games for a few months now. I've been going through my collection and back log for all my systems today and nothing looks interesting at all =[ I really want to get back into the fing gaming but everything looks so stupid and boring.. What is everyone playing, btw people playing Guitar Heros.. don't bother.

Someone's going to tell you to use the other thread.

Not me though, I'm playing Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Wik.

I played some Skies of Arcadia Legends, some Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, and some Shining Force GBA... all definitely good choices.

Whats with all the Advent Rising comments I saw in another thread today? People here today have been acting like that game is actually good but everywhere else everyone says its sucks so much.. Wtf is the truth with this game?

I can get my hands on Shadow of the Colossus for free tomorrow.. I hope its good =[

YOU hope IT is good? It's more like we hope YOU are good enough to play IT. :)

As for what I'm playing, right now I have a game going on ICO and Katamari Damacy. I just got Way of the Samurai today and want to give it a go. I want to play through MGS2 Substance before MGS3 Subsistence comes out, and my new years resolution will be to lose five pounds a month using Eyetoy Kinetic. Eventually I'm going to finish Time trials and hard mode in Shadow of the Colossus.
DAMN I have a lot of gaming to be done.

Pick a review. Read it.

Primarily Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 2. Trying to finish it before Mario & Luigi 2 comes out here on Thursday. Looks achievable so far. Bits of Ridge Racer 6, Geometry Wars 2 and Mutant Storm Reloaded on the side.

DQ8
Geometry Wars
Naruto 4
FF7
WoW

Hopefully, i'll be playing Fire Emblem (GCN) soon. It's still wrapped. I hear good things about it. Should I just pop it in and forget the rest of my games for now?

You should be playing Geo Wars and nothing BUT Geo Wars

THAT GAME ROXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Perfect Dark Zero and Project Gotham Racing 3.
Prety good games that once the dust settled-it confirmed what I suspected-this forum is full of shit as usual. Can't believe people tried to downplay these great games.

I always play one game at a time until I beat it. Right now I'm working on Metroid Fusion. After that I have 6 games in my backlog:

Advance Wars DS
Advance Wars 2
Golden Sun 2
Metal Slug Advance
Pikmin 2
FF Dawn of Souls

Since last week Thursday: Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence

During commute: Final Fantasy IV Advance

Casually playing: Half Life 2 (Xbox), Far Cry Instincts, Devil Kings

Pushing tediously through RR6, but it's starting to get a bit more interesting in the faster classes.

Christmas present.

Too many.

DQVIII (20 something hours)
Animal Crossing
Guild Wars (only a little)

and then my brother and I went halves in WoW, there goes my chances of playing any of the above again.

I'm playing a bit with Ouendan as well which was a Christmas pressie, not a bad game although so far I don't see what all the hype is about.

Trying to beat the broken abortion that is Kameo single player story mode. What a fucking shit game.

Basically the game has a split audience, those who love it and those who thought meh....I'm in the former. Though if you do wanna play it, pick up PC version(with a gamepad) and play it up to a little after you recieve your powers, if you don't love it at that point, you probably won't :)

Currently playing:

Tales of Symphonia
Battlefield 2
and soon Dragon Quest VIII (Bestbuy had it for $35 on their site whewt!)

Wife is currently playing:

Beyond Good and Evil

Just got Baten Kaitos for cheap. Surprisingly good so far barring the voice acting and the standard RPG cliche plot. Battle system is different and pretty fun once I got used to it.

Went to the arcade last night and tried out two new fighting games. They also had Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection, but I didn't try it out. Maybe tonight.

First up was Chou Dragonball Z, which is made by some ex-Capcom staff. I did not like this game very much at all; it felt incredibly simplistic, and just plain BORING. There's only a small number of characters (like 9 total), and they don't have much in the way of combos or special moves. This game HAS to be made with small children in mind; it's the only thing I can think of for why it's this simplistic. There are only two attack buttons, a guard button, and jump button, so movement is fully 3D, but it's so SLOOOOOW. You do basic attack 1, attack 2, attack 1 combos, and can do fireballs, and that's about it. I am really hoping that I missed something about this game; it's really hard to believe it was this bad. I didn't see any kind of transformations into Super Saiyajins, either, but that has to be in the game...right? ^_^;

Next was the OMFG HOLY SHIT AWESOME AWESOME Hokuto No Ken (Fist of The North Star) 2D fighting game from Guilty Gear developer Arc System Works. It ROCKS. They had the volume on the machine cranked way up, and the familar "You are Shock!!" theme was blasting throughout the fighting game area of the arcade. Arc really packed this game with tons and tons of fanservice; if you like Fist of The North Star, your jaw will hit the floor when you see this game in action for the first time. HUGE high res sprites, drawn in the same style as the original 80s anime series, complete with backgrounds ripped right out of the series, are combined with fast-paced game play that is similar to that of the Guilty Gear series. There's not quite as much blood as you'd think, but there are death moves that will end the round if you land them (also just like GG), and puddles of blood and even some drool spatter occasionally. Familar characters like Kenshiro (Batt and Lynn come out in his win pose), Rei, Heart, Shin, Raoh, Mamiya, and a few more round out the cast. This game NEEDS a port to a home system ASAP. Hopefully to the 360 with online play. :D

Just got this as a present for X-mas...can't wait! :lol

I wish you luck with it. I actually thought this was better than Starfox Adventures at some point, but now that I'm near the end, I'm not so sure. Then again, it can be difficult to choose the better of two stinky shit-turds lying in the street. And honestly, who'd want to?

Xenosaga II - I'm around 12 hours or so in. It's entertaining enough, but disappointing overall, even compared to Episode I, which was pretty far from amazing itself. Oh well.

Dragon Quest VIII - 25 hours in, leveling up and hunting for mini medals.

Phantom Brave - Just started, finished tutorials and got my party set up to start actually fighting.

Killer7 - Start of the second mission. Seems pretty cool so far, the story is interesting, to say the least.

Kameo is significantly better than PDZ, as far as singleplayer is concerned, but that's not saying much. The platforming, exploration, camera, controls, combat, and puzzles in Kameo are all incredibly subpar. Some (combat and controls), more than others.

2 players + 0 bots + GIANT FUCKING MAP + no time limit + 20 kill victory goal = YAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWNNNNNNN

I'd really like to hook up with a dozen or so newbies and just kinda explore the game's options, get better together, and have fun. Didn't quite manage that today, so it's way too early to judge.

I do miss PD N64. So far, in every possible category save for technical merits, PD N64 was a vastly superior game. :o

I swear. When I got the console, I thought I'd loathe the system and love these Rare games. It's turned out to be exactly the opposite for me, shockingly.

the 2nd match we played had like 12 players. i got pwned :(

Devil may Cry 3 and Pro Evolution Soccer 5. Hopefully I'll be getting Resident Evil 4 and Prince of persia: The Two Thrones in the next couple of days so I will be playing those too.

They were way, WAY too good for us. I played through 3 matches with them (I think you were there for 2 of them). We both got rocked on the 1st. I managed to take 4th place on the 2nd, and then 2nd to last on the 3rd. At that point, I called it a night, looked for some GAFfers to play with, didn't have much luck, so popped in Kameo instead.
