What games need a remake?

Archon and Thexder on a portable.

Marble Madness on a portable with a tilt sensor (or maybe analog control)...and about a zillion more levels.

Tomb Raider 1 - Remade on todays machines with greater movement for Lara like Prince of Persia and better enemy A.I. They could incoporate some of the innovations from the later games like vehicles, but it was the level design/puzzles that were great. When Paul Douglas left the team, they lost the decent levels - Midas, Cistern, Lost World, etc.

I want Lara to be Tomb Raiding, with a bit of DaVinci Code like revelation.

NiGHTS of course. Even if it was the exact same game, playing it in high-res, 60 fps and with the current analog controllers would be a much more pleasant experience.

San Francisco Rush - I'd be happy with an arcade perfect port but what I'd really like to see are improved controls and crashes ala Burnout series. Throw in Stunt Mode and this game would kick arse!

Mario Kart 64 - I think the only reasons I enjoyed MKDD is because of the rock solid 60FPS, shooting items back to avoid attacks, and the improved 1 player mode. Other then that Mario Kart 64 was a way better game particually for multiplayer. I'd like to see a remake of this.

F-Zero X - Nice and easy remake using F-Zero GX engine. And X-CUP.

Resident Evil 2 - Not much to say really. Would have been nice to have a remake as I would like to play through this again before RE4 but the graphics are just so dated after playing REmake.

PERFECT DARK - I am convinced a remake of this game on Xbox would kick Halo 2 in the arse, at least in multiplayer. There's still so many things this game does that have yet to be implemented in Halo 2.
