What games should Nightdive Studios do next?

I'd love to see them take on Soldier of Fortune 1 and 2 as well as Elite Force 1 and 2. I also never got around to playing Noone Lives Forever and can no longer purchase it, so that would be another good one for them to release.

IIRC they've wanted to do NOLF forever but it's in rights hell. Not happening.

SOF is a good one but maybe license issues with the guns?

Is the magazine still running? They'd probably need to struck a deal with them, or change the name of the game lol.

Descent 1 and 2. It would be amazing

Tho i would like them to revisit the multiplayer of DooM I + II. It is close to being so great! But it is held back by the lack of coop options (like respawn items), not multiplayer deathmatch mod support and not knowing which lobby uses mods and what other does not.

I'd love if they were hiring for Deus Ex Remake, but it would probably be a big project if they wanted to populate old city maps and add more details. Expectations would be high, especially after experiencing the city hub from Mankind Divided or even the main maps from Human Revolution.

Not sure if remaking System Shock 2 soon after releasing a remaster would be a smart move. People who wanted to go back to SS2 years later (or experience it for the first time) have now done it.

If we're digging into Origin systems history and can't touch WC series - this would be nice.

Funny thing history forgot this game as a failed knockoff / attempt to take XCom series 3d - but then modern XComs wholesale lifted mechanics and UX from it. It deserves a Nightdive remaster at least.

That would be hilarious to see - Epic is literally raking in money with Fortnite but still outsource a remake of one of their classic games to a small indie dev. :messenger_grinning_smiling:
Aye its a shame what they've become. Epic give off the impression that they couldn't give a fuck about thier own legacy and act like they are embarassed by it, so may as well leave it to someone like Nightdive to give it the care and attention it deserves

I'd love to see the PSX versions of Doom and Final Doom (with the original Aubrey Hodges soundtracks) redone with 60 fps gameplay. The improved lighting, music and sound effects make these versions of Doom actual horror games!

Help SEGA with Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Yukio Futatsugi still develops games. He runs Grounding, Inc last I saw. They need to get him back in AA action. Grounding, Inc mainly develops small niche titles. I did takew a look just now and it seems they released a Death Note game as recently as Nov of last year..

Honestly I just want the vanilla things.

System Shock 2 remake, and for them to somehow get the rights to No One Lives Forever IP to do proper remasters.

We've always heard NOLF is tied up in an IP rights ball of yarn, but it's a nice dream.
