What gaming performance can I expect from this laptop?

Hi, I took the initiative to sell my gaming desktop for the newest Razer Blade Stealth using a gtx 1060 GPU. There is a lack of gaming benchmark for this precise laptop as it isnt out yet. But as far as I saw it seems to be quite positive when looking at the MSI laptop, using the same specs. I chose the full HD model over the 4K one. Not only the later is mch more expenssive but has less battery life too, glossy finish and 4K gaming on a laptop is ridiculous.

So do any of you is well informed about this new laptop card and the i7 6700hq? Also has 16Gig ram and i chose the cheapest 256gig ssd.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the Nvidia mobile cards perform virtually indetical to the desktop cards, so probably just look for a 1060 review to get a rough idea.

The 1060 should be on par with the GTX 980 which is a really good card still, I own a 970 so that 1060 should be at least 15-20% faster

I doubt it. If they stick a desktop GPU in a laptop, it will certainly be clocked lower due to thermal limits, and thus lead to lower performance than the same GPU in a desktop card.

Not any more. The 1070m for example beats the 1070 in pure raw specs.

This is a great laptop that I've been eyeing for a while as well. Do note that you want the new Razer Blade, not the Stealth.

The GTX 1060 is fantastic for 1080p gaming and you'll mostly get 60fps @ Ultra/High performance in modern games. I also agree that the 1080p option is better than the 4K version, since you won't be running games at a good performance at that resolution. 4K is total overkill for that size too IMO.

Looks awesome to me.

Definitely don't get a 4K monitor on a screen smaller than 21 inches. It's a waste of money and will create unnecessary heat.

1080p is fine.

A lot will depend on cooling and where you use it as well. Make sure it gets good ventilation or your going to be throttled.

I think the cuda cores etc are the same but the clock speed is lower, but with similar boost clock. I imagine if you are on battery it will not run at boost speeds.

Good to know we're both interested in this. With what you said i'm more than excited to get my hands on it.

I've indeed chose the latest model with newest specs. It is just that their site offers all the model and is confusing.
