what happen if you get caught smoking weed on the street?

I do it everyday. What happens is I throw it away before the federales get close enough.

The first H&K movie was soooooooooo overrated. Why make another one?
 
Depends on the state, and then the city your in. Colorado I know is fairly easygoing regarding it, but past that, no clue... probably just get you for possesion

technically this is wrong. federal law overrides more lenient state and local laws. now it might be up different in how they react to it, but it's technically illegal everywhere and you should be busted with possession on the spot.

This is why all of the state legalization crusades that some politicians go on are a joke.. even if a state does legalize marijuana, the more restrictive federal law supersedes it. the first (and only first) step to legalizing marijuana is to do so at the federal level. this can either be through a legalization or a deferment to the states to enact their own legislation.
 
I dunno nobody is really obvious about it. If I do it in the street it's with a one-hitter. I'll smoke a joint at night if I'm going to a show or something as nobody there cares. Otherwise you won't see anybody doing a cypher in the middle of a busy street.

I always found it ridiculous for weed to be illegal and alcohol isn't. I'm not saying alcohol should be illegal but if you're ever in a place where tons of people are stoned and others are drunk you'll see what I mean.
 
Umm, you're not allowed to grow or possess it here in Germany, it's not forbidden to consum it, yet I do not know how policemen would handle it if you smoke weed in front of them...

What do you mean? I have seen a guy shoot someone while he was high. I have seen a guy throw up and pass out while he was drunk.
 
In Philly nothing. In fact, many cops would join you. :lol
Most of them have other important things to worry about. Like catch the criminal for the 2nd or 3rd murder of the day.
 
From what I heard, at least here where I live.

most likely the cop on the street will take it away with a warning.

But, you get a fine. Not even brought in or anything, like a speeding ticket

I have seen people beat the shit outta people while drunk, jump out of 3rd story windows. Also, drunk people rape and beat women as well.

In Vancouver they will probably confisgate it and give you a fine, or they just confisgate it with a warning if you weren't doing it in a family/major public area. It depends on the officer you get I guess, not that you couldn't just get a contact high just walking down Granville. :lol
 
In Montreal on New Year's Eve my buddy was given a ticket....this after my Montreal friend bragged how the city was European and the cops don't give a fuck about weed...

Most cops will just toss it and say "do that shit at home" but of course there is always a hard ass out there and chances are he will be the one to bust you. I was talking to this one cop and he actually wanted all drug offenders put to death.
 
I was watching "cops" the other day, which is my sole teacher on the american culture matters, and it was Mardi Gras, and the cops were handcuffing people that were smoking joints in the streets. They were pretty brutal too.

This shit will never happen in Montreal, thank god.

When I was 17 (and dumber than I am now) a black cop punched me in the face for smoking weed. He rolled up on me and asked me what I was smoking. I said, "I'm smoking a dutch nigga." He told me to put out, I replied with "I ain't putting shit out bitch." The cop punched me in my face and took money and an ounce of weed from me. I haven't tried pull anything like that again.

Yeah, up here in Canada I believe your'e allowed to have up to an ounce on you as long
as it's not bagged up into individual portions or joints. But it's still illegal to consume it in public however 98% of cops would just make u throw it away or take it from you because you'd only get a small fine if convicted, so it's not worth the work to them.
 
I have always wanted to live in canada, vancouver sounds nice. I will have to visit sometime. Maybe during hockey season, see a game

The first time I smoked a joint on the street in amsterdam this cop slow drove past me on his motorbike and I got that 'oh shit' feeling. It quickly turned to an lol feeling.

no, the point is that local and state governments are required to uphold the more restrictive law.

if marijuana was illegal at the federal level and legal at the state level, it would be criminal for a city cop to NOT bust you on possession.

for the record when we went to Woodstock '94 we were pulled over for speeding in new york. they saw we were going to woodstock and searched the car. we were busted with a half.




the 20mph over speeding ticket ($285) was worse than our possession misdemeanors ($85 each). The driver received $370 in tickets that day.

Holland is the perfect place to get High. Just go to A'dam and go to a coffeeshop and just walk around in Amsterdam. Its a blast!

the first time i ever smoked weed was on 2nd ave in nyc, right out in the open with about 5 others. it was funny because there were a ton of cops all over that were 'raiding' the bar we had just left 10 minutes prior. we were all underage. good times!
