What happened to the GENERATION X movies? Young men, teens fighting against the system. Fighting for their future. Fighting against a sick world!

I'm actually wondering what happened to Generation X in general - nobody seems to talk about them anymore. It's still all about the "Baby Boomers" or the "Greatest Generation" or whatever came after Gen-Xers.

... Gleaming the Cube? :lol

The whole social climate of the 80's breeded these movies, man. It's not quite the same nowadays.

Gleaming The Cube was rad.

Well, it wasn't quite as good as the Rad!, but still rad nonetheless.

Yup.

I loved those goofy movies from the 80s too, but they just don't make those kind of movies anymore. Since the 90s you have to act like you don't care about anything, you can't make a movie with goofballs like they had in in the 80s. Teen movies have suffered greatly as a result. I also miss the crazy action movies of the 80s too. Movies like Commando never get old.

The "Greatest Generation" was BEFORE Generation X.

I take it you missed Singles and about 3 other movies that came out around the same time. Can't think of their names off the top of my mind.

I thought this was about the Generation X comic book tv movie that was on fox many, many years ago, not about has-beens :p

Bottlerocket - The Wilson brothers (Owen and Luke)
Swingers - Vince Vaughn

Also The Outsiders, The Lost Boys, Mallrats and Boyz N the Hood deserve some mention.
