Post your story's of what happened today, just to vent.

I will start with mine.

Avoided death today.
Riding on a road with a trailer and a bobcat on it. Minding my own business, suddently car infront of me, brakes lightly then moves abrubly to the right, ghostrider came at me at full speed. I can tell you this, that guy was FAST in front of my car holy shit, janked my car to the right as fast as i could, digged into the car infront of me which was not standing still on the right side, and the clown hitted me on the side where i sit, luckely he deflected at the very end so no damage on me. but the car is pretty bad hit.

Pretty sad to see however, feels like my little car is like exhausted sad panda.

Any mister douchebag that tried to delete me in a few seconds from this world, had a real attitude of not wanting to work with me. The cops got a little bit upset as he didn't realized thow he just financially fucked me entirely as i am completely depended on the car and the car isn't worth much through insurance money as its a bit older now but has lots of emotional value to me as i got it from my dad which always drove it when he passed earlier this year. As i basically was telling my life story to this cop. So they facepalmed him in the ground and sended him off to a day in jail which they basically can do. Also he basically drove on the wrong side of the road so yea its kinda you know attempt at murder at this point.

Anyway, that was mine Saturday.

Sorry bro. Glad you’re okay. Hope things are back to normal soon.

I had a photo shoot this morning. Ramen and Karaage for lunch with friends and spent the evening on over packed metro with strangers.

Glad you are ok! So far I am sitting in my car thinking strongly of job change. I've already updated my resume and have been scoping out some opportunities.

I intend to stick with this job to the end of the year, but I dont know. It feels like each day weighs on me more and more.

Its affecting my health, home life and there hasnt been a benefit in that happening, just unnecessary suffering. I am glad to be employed, but I think its best I move on.

I fired up Breath of the Wild on a whim. I found out Tarry Town built some kind of cool new fountain I have never seen before. I then wandered into a canyon and found a new shrine and one of those little plant people. Then I found a new fairy to upgrade a bunch of my specialty gear.

I have already put in well over 100 hours into the game. Still finding new things.

Glad you're ok, OP.

It snowed here today, which was unexpected.. I spent the morning playing God of War:Ragnarok and the afternoon playing some Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 with my friend. Started getting stir crazy so I went out for a 5-mile run--the first I've run since completing a marathon last weekend. Currently chilling and cozy on the couch, bout to play some more MW2 as my other friends get online.

Life is good!

I am glad that you managed to stay safe.
I had a terrible jaw pain that wouldn't leave me alone for like an hour, I thought that I am not going to make it on my own, and I couldn't take painkillers because I took one right before the pain started, for context - you can't take more than 4 per day, and you need to wait at least 4 hours before taking the next one.

Im glad you’re safe. A large part of my job is driving in and out of two states. I’ve even managed to drive a large van to deliver copiers, which is not even my job. When your company makes 80-90 million on copier sales, backed up orders demand some assistance. I’ve had a couple close calls. The last time it happened I nearly collided with a truck. I sometimes wonder what the future holds. I’ve had times where I was so tired and I had to stop because my eyes were drifting.

My day started at 630. Kid pooped himself, so I gave him a bathe. Played some God of War while the kids were sleeping and played some Tactics Ogre while they were having fun together. We watched part of a film. I did dishes, laundry, and straightened up. I made breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I will probably play more God of War once everyone is asleep. I feel like I take after my mom. She would do whatever she needed to do and then she’d sit on the couch with a book and a glass of ice tea.

that sucks :( hopefully you don't have much trouble with your insurance and of course i'm glad you're OK. *touch wood* i've never been in a car crash and hope i go another 12 years that way. chances are i will because i find myself driving significantly less these days! might actually sell the car next year with the way things are going.

today has been uneventful for me. woke up and ate a bit. mostly been setting up my PC up again and think that's me all set now finally!

started setting up the pc yesterday morning! bought a new SSD and my CPU cooler is so huge it covers 1 (of 2) screws needed to remove the drive from the board. so i had to uninstall the entire cooler which was a pain in the ass. due to how big it is it's tricky to remove it while the motherboard is in the case. usually it's easier/quicker to completely remove the motherboard and work outside the case but i've got the hang of it now. so while the cooler was off i took the opportunity to clean everything out and reapply thermal paste (need to do that anyway). also removed my PSU and opened that up to clean it out. i know people don't recommend doing it because it can kill you if you touch the wrong thing. anyway it was still quite clean since last time i opened it up.

put the new drive in and set up windows 11 again. my old install was on the beta channel and MS was taking forever to take me out of it. now i'm back on stable. also i'm making sure to install only stuff i need for playing games. windows 11 has already used 72GB (my games are on another SSD) and that's literally just windows (with a lot of the bloatware shit removed), spotify, steam, epic, blizzard clients, and a couple of photo editing software programs.

for the last 2 weeks i've been trying out Ubuntu Linux and i am finally, after years of trying, making it my main OS! so i'm dual booting Ubuntu + Windows 11. i'm only booting into Windows to play games and if I need to edit photos. On Ubuntu I have G.I.M.P installed and while it's great it doesn't do some things as good as Affinity Photo (i just bought V2) so i'll boot into Windows if i need to use AP2.

I'm impressed how efficient Ubuntu is. A basic install only uses 16GB of space! and memory usage is usually around 3-5GB (3.4GB right now). I have 32GB RAM so i don't know how i'm ever going to manage to use all that on Linux lol. Windows usually is at about 7-8GB when just browsing the internet and listening to music.

I'm so happy to finally move (mostly) away from Windows. I'm not quite ready to go all in with Linux. I can't be arsed with the hassle of dealing with gaming on Linux and i'm going to need time to get used to G.I.M.P. Maybe in the future I'll feel confident to go 100% Linux but until then I'm probaly 95% of the way there now :D Get fucked Microsoft!

Feeling fat and bloated af. Made some amazing burgers last night. Woke up early due to my cat wanting food and decided to just stay up since my sciatic nerve pain makes it difficult to just continue sleeping. Made coffee. Doing some Gran Turismo 7 circuit experiences atm while fighting my neverending interal demons. Oh and it's a beautiful day

Also did the guy give no explanation s to why he was driving on the wrong side of the road? Was he drugged up or?

Glad you're okay and in one piece Kenpachii Kenpachii , and I think you're super lucky actually to be able to walk away from such an incident and able to vent about it on a forum :) Hope you and the car get ship-shaped quickly.

Well as for me ... after putting my little baby boy to sleep for the night, my wife and I fired up the XSX for the first time in over a year and had a blast taking turns playing Vampire Survivors.

Overijsselseweg or something between Dronten and Lelystad its a 100km/h single lane road with a huge green part in between as u can see in the picture, its practically impossible to take the wrong side really as u have to drive miles over it, its like 20km i think total length. Honestly its like driving at the wrong side of a high way, just no way possible without knowing really as its always packed with cars. He really had to go out of his way to get on that lane let alone get to any speed for miles on end and meet me at the end, some propper winning the shit lottery type of thing.

Funny enough a cop was flashing cars for tickets and they flashed him 1 mile before he impacted me with about 140km a hour that's like 85 miles a hour. He never slowed down as there are no brake marks. So this guy was practically a torpedo as i was coming at him with 90 km/h but i did slow down to 50 or something before impact. Also felt like a torpedo because holy shit he was so god dam fast in front of my car unreal.

What he told me after i asked and got out of the car, that he didn't know he was confused about it, so cops straight up threw alcohol test on him and drug test. Drug doesn't seem to be done in a second so they wanted to test him out further and where eye balling his behavior badly. He did drop some pills on the ground when he was filling in those papers he never signed, which a cop directly picked up but said it where sleeping pills which are often given too depressed people as he knew them which they noted down. So maybe the dude was just suicidal and he picked me as target. Anyway he's going to court it seems.

Went to Rotterdam by car during my summer vacation, out of Germany. I hated driving the ridiculous speed limit in the Netherlands, but on the other hand, it was kinda relaxing to just swim around in traffic at a hundred, instead of constantly being stressed out by delivery vans riding your rear bumper at 180 all the time. But a permanent speed limit of a hundred would probably break me or land me in prison or poverty :p

Holy cow, that's crazy! As in the definition of "insane". Really curious as to his intentions, and, it's a miracle neither you or any other rule-following drivers were seriously hurt.

It remains to be seen if it's a miracle the Human Torpedo is ok. You'll need to update us if/when the courts make a verdict on him!

It's my birthday today....I think I'll remember it for the rest of my life since it's the most depressing one I've ever had. Bad year in general for me, had to move from NYC back to Bosnia, my US wife is gonna file for divorce soon (I think she even forgot it's my birthday which even hurts more, despite the upcoming divorce, since it's not a "I hate you divorce"). All my friends moved on with their lives (as they should've) so now that I'm back there's no one to celebrate with, my dad is visiting just for 3 days basically making sure I don't kill myself. But hey, I booked plane tickets to celebrate New Year's with my cousin/best friend in Vienna, so at least something.

I had a whisky tasting last night. Went home by bike, landed in a ditch and fell. Not too much trouble until i awoke with a terrific pain in the chest.

Seems i injured a rib. Yay me.

Today was a good day, don't have to work this week, played some Phantom Abyss and just started Soma for the first time ever, never played it before as I am not that much into walking/stealth games but damn, it's really good.

Will continue later paired with a glas of wine or a bottle, we'll see.

Called my mom earlier after I clocked out of work .. we had a good conversation. Catching up. But I found out one of my cousins that I grew up with passed away last year. NO ONE told me. I'm still processing my feelings.
