What I want from DOA4 is...

Some decent AI. I mean SC2's AI I can get into a 3 minute long sword fight with taki that is insanely intense.

I WANT SOME GAMEPLAY. ALl I keep getting are boobs :(

Boobs are a hell of a drug. :D

Seriously, Team Ninja will put out the same garbage fighting system, this time only with more defense, and it will sale because the ladies will look even better than they did before. If "Mr. Shades" was interested in making a good fighting game, he would scrap this whole DOA idea, it's tired.

If by "AI" you mean "Artificial Injection" then I think you won't be disappointed.

I hear they're going for full on "Artificial Insertion" this time around. Itagaki is really all about pushing the boundaries of gaming as we know it! Should be interesting.

Gameplay in a fighting game? That's impossible. Bushido Blade was the only fighting game I enjoyed simply because I could run away like a bitch.

Hm, I'm pretty sure we'll just get boobs with better physics. Hopefully we'll get another volleyball game. *swoon* haha

:lol or do a combination of fancy slashes just to get an instant deathblow from my opponent's first hit. :D

If you don't like it, don't play it. You don't sound like you actually enjoyed the previous ones, so why are you interested in this? Go play VF or something.

Hell yeah, those developers sure had some balls making it like that. I also like how you could cut down the bamboo or, if you got slashed in the arm, you could only swing with one arm.

PS3 needs a new Bushido Blade

I want them to tone down the fucking counters. AI means nothing to me since i usually play fighting games with friends. But still if they actually managed to put in some decent AI and a kumite mode I wont be complaining. :D

You see, this thread sucks, which is why it has turned into a joke.

And you have to realize that when you make a thread, it isn't "your" thread and you do not pick and choose where the conversation goes.

Thank you for your time.

Actually, it *is* his thread. We aren't a democracy around here.

If that bugs you, remember Asshole Mod First Rank Drinky X. Crow loves himself a martyr.

Ok, back on topic - do you want the three point countering system, or the four point? Or neither?

the amount of frames that you need to pull of a counter needs to reduced. Its just way to easy right now and does way too much damage. Right now its just a fun party fighter nothing more.

The window for counters is HUGE. Aoi's window for counters in VF4 is about right. Also I never noticed if there were actual ranges. High Mid Low I mean. I think that would make things about as difficult as they need to be with a reduction in damage given too.

Yea there were ranges but really all you need was high and low counters.

also dodging needs to be more a of a factor i hate it when i completely dodge an attack only to have it hit me because of the homing. I want the 3d movement to be like Soul Calibur 2.

Except not. And Drinky, just because he made the thread doesn't mean he controls what people say in it or who posts in it.

But yeah, back on topic then eh?

I'd hope DOA4 actually adds some fun gameplay. DOA2 was great on Dreamcast, felt kind of old already on PS2, and then the incredible rehash that was DOA3 was just boring as hell. I'm hoping they spice it up a little bit with DOA4. Don't really care how.

I think we can see it for the psp (please, oh please, 1st person wifi), but ps3... we'll have to wait some years before devs take that risk ($$$) in a ps3 project ... or maybe not :P

Having played every fighting game evar, from Karate Champ to Guilty Gear X-whatever, I have enjoyed all of 'em. I first hated, then loved KOF, everyone loves Street Fighter 2 so that doesn't count and I loved VF but not VF2. I realize that I don't want a really deep fighting system because I can't play in an arcade environment anymore.

There's no WAY I am playing "deep" fighting games on the internet. Forget it. I already know what a gay-jew-fag-nigger I am from playing Halo - I don't need to find out what I am in a fighting game.

What I want is simple smacking around, with incredibly ornate moves, destructible environments and interesting characters. The stories are all a joke, so as long as they look pretty, I'm sold. That's why I like DOA 3, Ultimate and probably 4. That's why I prefer Tekken to VF - because I will take fighting panda-wife over "karate guy" any day.

Mrs. Mokujin vs. "Wrestledude" is a no brainer. Keep your deep fighting systems. You are welcome to enjoy them. Me? I want to smash through neon lights and then get hit by a cop car.

Dude, stfu, no one likes you, just go end yourself. You can't even provide the kinda comedy people like Olimario can, just an incessant thorn in the side of reason, good taste, justice and human decency.

Drowning is the recommended way of death. Preferably out in sea where your body can't be recovered so that you people don't waste money on your burial.

PS3 needs a new Bushido Blade

I like this line of thought.

Bushido blade rocked. IT had a crappy sequel on ps2 which killed the series i think.

Indeed. Only part 1 is worth a damn. A buddy of mine and myself in college could have matches that would last damn near 20 minutes and every minute was pure edge on your seat kind of play. Excellent music btw.

I should shut up? Your the one that makes threads about the most worthless shit :lol

Yes, dead or alive is indeed worthless shit. You are totally correct.

While some proper gameplay would be nice, that's never going to happen, so DoA4 should start with the acheivable and not have a final boss who totally sucks all arse.

On a related note, I hope that Tekken 5 is Jinpanchi's one and only appearance in a Tekken game. Honestly I thought they tested arcade fighters? The testers really let everyone down by letting that one slip through.

I bet you haven't played Battle Raper or its sequel.

And you hold the controller upside-down, too. All funny like.

SHUT UP! It means I can run and jump without moving a thumb in Super Mario Bros. And it means I can activate my weapons without stopping firing in Gradius. Of course, it makes playing PSP awkward because you can't see the screen when it's upside down. Luckily a handy array of shaving mirrors saves the day.
