I was thinking of getting a PSP, but then I realized I'd be wasting my money.

I will probably go buy a set of new headphones and buy shit for my trek to LA next month.

Throwing a large chunk of it at student loans, and placing a large board game order with the rest. Possibly getting this hinge on my laptop repaired as well.

Probably gonna spend my $500CDN return on an entertainment unit from Ikea or something. The desk my TV/Games are on is kinda ghetto.

I'm just now chipping away at the cost of the ring itself... finance charges have been killing me.

I'll finally be getting a TV that accepts more than composite video. When I'm ready, I'll make a recommend me an HDTV for $xxxx thread. Might be a few months though...

Was going to get a DS or a PSP, but the DS ain't got shit out for months and the PSP is still structurally suspect in my book, so the wait continues.

I like the way you look forward to spending it. It was your money in the first place - that just means the government took too much over the last 12 months.

The only times I've ever done a fucking return I end up owning £1000 to the tax man. Cunt.

I really don't understand why, if you pretty much just work, that the company and the government don't communicate and work out your tax for you. How much more must it cost in your time, beauracracy, governement manpower etc just in case you owe a few more cents from checking account interest?

I was expecting no refund but instead got the first really sizable refund of my life this year.

So far I've spent it buying assorted PC upgrades and old game/computer magazines off Ebay.

$326cdn.. saving most of it and using $40cdn of it to buy an ATI Silencer cooling fan for my 9800 Pro. Gotta pump that heat out of my case before the summer gets here and I have to reduce my cpu overclock. :(

I had my son (second child) in 2004, paid out the ass in daycare costs, and bought a house.

I rebuilt my HTPC, bought

and roundtrip tickets to Arizona later this year, dropped shocks and new tires on my truck, bought almost every little nagging thng for the new house, the wife snagged a new after-pregnancy warddrobe, my daughter got a new bike, baby son got a Radio Flyer red wagon, we're re-doing the driveway in August, and I spent $200 on cheap games/DVDs.

And still managed to make my savings account 5k richer. Fucking Bush and his tax cuts.
