Why do couples do this, within seconds apart?

Wife: mmm! I love this new pasta
Husband: mmm! My wife is the best cook ever!

or

Wife: my husband is the best ever and I'm so happy to have him in my life!
Husband: my wife is the best ever and I'm so lucky to have her in my life!

One time while just hanging out my friend got a call from his fiancé. I only heard his side of the conversation but it went like this:

"Ok. Ok. OK JEEZ I'LL DO IT NOW"

And then a minute later they each had synchronized status updates about how they can't wait to get married.

In both examples I listed I don't question the couples true love for each other it's just this social media aspect of their relationships is so odd and awkward to me.

Yes, yes we know Facebook is shit and you want the world to know that you deactivated your account.

GAF makes Facebook sound like a shit haven in the US. In Australia, we have cool shit circulate like people falling over and one time there was a video of a girl getting nasty with a dog
I didn't watch it
.

Ugh. So mad i dont know what ill do!!!!!!

Edit: Somebody was supposed to quote and say... "What's wrong?"
And then I would reply "Dont want to talk about it :(".

It would have been a fun parody of those sorts of posts on Facebook, and illustrate the irony of posting something on a public forum yet claim that it's private.
But you all ruined it, so I hope you're proud of yourself.

you know you can block peoples posts from appearing on your wall if it really bothers you

What can I say, it happens.

Luckily for me, being in love with my hand means I get 100% synchronization whenever I do this.

insert comment here about me being forever alone and all that

There are also people on Facebook who complain about why their boyfriends didn't give them anything for Valentine's Day/week and desire attention. They write, "I want to hear your bad Valentine's Day stories," but really no, they don't. They just crave for attention to feed their narcissistic ego.

Fuck that site.

Will be the demise of our society.

I pretty much never mention my guy on facebook....I just use it to keep up with my Gaf friends and look at hot ladies. Isn't that the point of facebook?

lol what.

Jesus it's not like FB has so many options available to ignore or remove annoying people. Is that all some of you have on your FBs?

Stop using Timedog's account, Devolution!

We're posting in sync, it's the new trend bound to annoy the OP.

In this thread, people take an irreverent observation seriously.

Edit: Nevermind. Didn't see that second post. You messed up, OP.
I'm waiting for a "Previously in this thread" summary once this baby hits 88 pages per hour.

The site encourages it. All I see is showboating of people living happy lives where as mine is just boring as no one wants to talk to me.
Again, then it's not Facebook's fault, but yours. I sometimes feel the same as you, but blaming it on a website would be completely stupid. Mark Suckerberg (or however it's spelled; I'm too lazy to google it but not enough so as not to tell you I don't know how to spell it properly) didn't do anything to make me feel lonely, I did. So why are you blaming it on his site? Or on the people who use it?

So the site named Facebook encourages people to show their friends what they're up to and relay messages back and forth. What exactly do you want out of your social media?

Conversation, which I guess doesn't qualify for social media if no one responds.
