could you enlighten me mana?

The SafePeer plugin blocks a huge range of IPs from seeing what you are seeding or downloading, including the RIAA and MPAA and the list is updated very regularly. With Bittornado, all anyone has to do is hit "Advanced" and they can see every single IP that's connected to the tracker.

I am using peerguardian2 with my P2P programs that pretty much does the exact same thing.

Thanks for the replies.

For some reason, today none of my downloads with Bitcomet will start.

Tried Azareus and Bit Tornado and the DL's start fine. Problem is, I think Bitcomet has the superior interface.

Guess I will reinstall it and pray it works.

Does it work with bittorrent clients and how much resources does it use?

I use ABC, is small and it gets the job done... I would use Azureus but it 'eats' too much resources and my machine go sloooooooooow... >_< ...

It can be used with ANY P2P programs, PG2 runs in system tray. Every P2P program that is out right now will work with PG2, such Bittorrents, edonkey(emule), kazaa, etc...... Peerguardian does the same thing as SafePeer which basically block range of IP addresses that has been blacklisted that your P2P client will attempt to connect to. The program uses very little resources, you can set it so that it updates every day or every week. It will even block http like www.riaa.com if you choose.

PeerGuardian

Just install PG2, set up your preference, and update the list. After that, just run your programs and PG2 will cockblock blacklisted IPs.

I loaded SafePeer just for the hell of it, and it keeps locking up the loading of Azareus when it gets to the initializing stage. WTF!

Ahh, forget SafePeer. My first line of defence is right HERE...

I would bang a hot farmer!
For the people having problems with SafePeer in Azureus, Plugins>SafePeer>check Enable asynchronous loading.

BTW I've read that BitComet 0.59 had problems, it had a bug that might have been resolved so download it again or use an older version of it.

ABC is alright for most of my needs but sometimes I'll switch to Bitcomet if I need to do other things that it doesn't support. =) And I think I'll check out Peer Guardian.
