What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the word “fandom”?

...when a writer doesn't do exactly what they wanted them to do.
 
For twenty years or so for me it was the people who saved Star Trek with the massive letter writing campaign in the 60s. An honourable thing.


Now it's toxic bastards who accuse me of being misogynistic or abnormal when I give a program or film valid criticism.
 
I think of Vancouver Canucks fans trashing their city when they got bopped out of the playoffs. I also think of that Philadelphia Eagles fan eating fresh horse poop off the ground after they won the Superbowl.
 
Star Wars I guess. Ever since I was a child "fandom" seemed to go hand in hand with SW. or Star Trek too
 
I think of the Green Bay Packers.
I live in Wisconsin, and it's like a religion for folks in my dad's generation and what I grew up around.
 
Sonic and Undertale. The former being funny and the latter being annoying.
It's unfortunate, because I enjoyed the Genesis and Dreamcast games, and I adored Undertale. The fandom for both are utterly cancerous.

Anyway, the only fandom I can get behind is the 40k fandom.
