We used to play the original COD in our office building at lunchtime. There was one CD that we would install on anyone's PC that wanted to join in on the game. It ran pretty good on just standard office PCs. We had our own voice chat system by using the inter office phone system. Well, just letting you know there's a mode that addresses your complaint about TTK.

I accidentally started a game in regular mode yesterday and it took a while to realise what had happened. I was turning away as soon as I got two hit markers, thinking the guy was dead for sure, but he would stay standing. I blamed it on ping at first.

Little did I know CoD was probably as impactful as Quake was to a whole different generation

The only thing wrong is that you give a fuck about what others feel about the games you like. Just enjoy the games you enjoy without worrying about anything being wrong.
