what jrpg are you playing right now ?

I started Ni No Kuni, yesterday. After 2 hours of playing it's very interesting and beauty. Graphics is amazing.
First part of game in
Motorvile was really sad. When Oliver's mother has gone I felt really sad. I hope the rest of the game will be much happier. :)

Beat the 3 main characters' chapter 2 in Suikoden 3. Gonna do their chapter 3s, then move on to Thomas. I'm excited that I discovered the castle and am finally able to start recruiting - the most addictive element of the series.

Started Radiant Historia on the DS yesterday and already 6 hours in. I really like the game so far and it seems to be a perfect mixture of traditional and more modern JRPGs. The graphic style reminds me of SNES gems whereas the interesting grid battle system keeps the turn based combat exciting (a feat which many traditional JRPGs fail to achieve imo).
And of course the soundtrack is superb as one can expect of Yoko Shimomura!

Just picked up Final Fantasy IX. Never played it before, but I was in the mood for a good JRPG, and this one seems to show up recommended in a few threads, so I figured what the hey.

Right now, the DS remake of Dragon Quest IV Chapters of the Chosen.

Started on Ni No Kuni yesterday. Combat's a bit too hectic but the graphics are gorgeous.

Not sure what's more messed up,
Oliver's mom dying
, or Mr Drippy mocking Oliver for it.

At the moment, Tales of Xillia. I had started Ni No Kuni a few months ago but got sidetracked by other games (in the same boat with ToX for that matter too since I've really only been playing AC IV since Christmas).

I'm in the last third of Xillia so I'll probably pick Ni No Kuni back up afterwards.

I don't know if it is just me or I can't finish jrpg games like I used to. The usual pattern is that I would pick up a good title, put in 10-20 hrs, then wiki the ending plot and never touch it again....

Been plowing through Radiant Historia because I want to finish my NDS backlog and get started on Bravely Default. It's a slow game; battles tend to take a bit too long for my liking, and I would have liked some more and better equipment choices (I have 100.000 gold and nothing to spend it on?) but it has a certain oldschool charm, great music, and cool characters so I'm sticking with it (it's also not all that long I think).

Persona 4 Golden on the Vita. My first ever JRPG.

I've had it four days and I've clocked around 16 hours. Probably safe to say that I'm hooked.

Done with Ys : Memories of Celceta I started Etrian Odyssey Untold I'm at 15 + hours (why there is no timer in this game ?) on story mode, and I'm also playing the demo of Bravely Default.
I also started Atelier Totori during the holidays but quit , I really don't like the fact that your are timed in a RPG and i don't feel like redoing everything to get the normal ending .

For some reason the EO games never have one. But at least on the 3DS you can just look up your time in the Activity Log.

Edit: To actually contribute something: I'm currently playing SMT IV and Earthbound. I should be somewhere in the middle of SMT, for some reason it's starting to get pretty easy, bosses go down prety fast with Stun Needles.

Made a start on One Piece Romance Dawn last night, played for about an hour and I really like the combat system, but the rest of the game is kind of... crap.

Does the entire thing consist of Hyperdimension Neptunia 1 level dungeon designs where it's a shitload of corridors leading to a boss fight or do things change up some as it goes?

Bravely Default demo only for now,...I stilll have 2 Tales game to play(Graces f and Xillia) but my nephew has my PS3 for now,he is playing Last of Us and Beyond...

First time playing thru Final Fantasy VII, and (maybe) first JRPG? I cannot remember another.

~4 hours in and I am quite enjoying it.

Finished the Bravely Default demo at around 5 hours, loved every second... Can't wait for NA release... Decided to retry P4G a couple days ago after I beat Fire Emblem Awakening, having a lot more fun this time around.

Yeah I finished Celceta the other day, really enjoyed it, and before that I ripped through Fire Emblem. I need to get back to Etrian Odyssey but I also need to find some way to enjoy it without the game feeling like a chore...

My eldest daughter has been playing through DQIV for the first time and I'm really missing an old school DQ like that.

No Bravely in the States yet :(. Back to Path of Exiles...

Well for me it's the opposite, EO series is very addicting for me I really like the map drawing mechanics and with the new story mode it is a much better game ( I hope they do another story mode like that in the next game) .

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen

A JRPG that I actually enjoy playing. I swore them off a few years ago, but decided to try this and Dark Souls. Dark Souls is too hard but I will attempt again in the future.

Finishing up Ys: Memories of Celceta, then starting The Last Story which I'm hoping to finish before Bravely Default comes out

Currently playing Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift and I'm surprised how fun it is. I was itching to play an SRPG but the lighter tone and colourfulness of the screenshots put me off, considering how great FFT and Tactics Ogre were, which I enjoyed thoroughly due to their more mature turn.

Learning abilities seems to take a bit longer than I expected and I find myself rotating jobs just to make use of the AP and not let it go to waste rather than having a well thought out team build. Hopefully this'll resolve itself as I get more clan members and start to specialize I guess. The story is also a bit hit-and-miss too but that doesn't bother me too much, I adore Ivalice and it's lore and it just makes me want FFXII IZJS HD so much more!
