What mutant in X-Men has the coolest/best powers?

Franklin Richards since he can warp reality...otherwise Storm is pretty cool since she gets to control the weather and is probably close to Omega level.

Borderline invincibility due to healing powers won't do much if you have low to normal pain threshold. You'll go mad.

And so he does, multiple times. Still, pretty cool powerset, especially since there's no prerequisite in the OP for having to live the character's life. If I have Wolverine's powers it doesn't mean I'm suddenly going to go try to get shot at every day.

Telepathy and telekinesis is basically OP. Telekinesis could let you emulate almost anyone else's powers. From Magneto's, Iceman's, Storm's, flight, super strength, concussive blasts. TK is OP, especially when talking about on a level like Nate Grey's.

Seems like Wolverine would be the way to go. Borderline invincible, drastically extended lifespan. Add in adamantium and the only real downside is low gas mileage due to weighing 300+ pounds.

meh wolverine is an amalgamation of powers, if you had his powers but not his training then its kinda incomplete. i mean all you get is a healing factor? Adamantium was tech, and his fighting ability is training/experience. Wolverine is augmented str, speed, agi, durability, and of course the healing factor. i guess thats still badass but its been copied/done before.

Kitty Pryde's power is pretty powerful. Can phase out of reality, walk up to someone and stop their heart in their chest.

If we're going for "cool" rather than "powerful", I would go with Forge. Inventing things is cool.
Also does Cypher count as an X-man ? I think being able to speak all languages is cool too. Not very super-heroic, but very convenient. :)

Are we talking ANY mutant that is in the x-men comic books, or just members of the group X-Men?

If any mutant: Legion or Exodus

If only x-men: Iceman or Wolverine

If you are a shapeshifter and you turn into a woman if you're a dude, do you have the full anatomy? Like working vaginer and all? Cause if so, that one.

I'd go Mystique.

Though, how does she actually replicate physical appearances so well? Or can she only replicate details that she has seen? Like... if she morphs into Person Y but never saw that Person Y had a tattoo on their foot. Would that expose the fake, or does she somehow automatically copy all those details?

Plus he can't be killed as long as there is water.

Didn't he, like, reform himself out of vapor too?

From what I understand Iceman's power is the ability to manipulate water in all it's states down to the atomic level. He's just incredibly inept/insecure when it comes to using it.

Essentially, if Iceman was actually good at using his powers he could flash freeze every living being on the planet and smash them to pieces a nanosecond later.

Charles Xavier powers. Very powerful telepathy, if I wanted I imagine I could even change big election results, where I politician change the minds of my opponent politicians or politicians I want to control and rule the world. You can also manipulate the minds of rival bussiness, anything really. I would only use such powers for good of course.

Hell such telepathy can even be used for psychology reasons to see what is bothering someone or to see if certain prisoners have trully reformed.

Best Power: Jean Grae ; cmon guys.....

Coolest Power: Wolverine, essentialy a werewolf, without all the non-sense

To those mentioning Franklin Richards: He has never been a part of the x-men books, which is why so few are mentioning him. Besides, Legion has the very same power and many others to boot.

All depends of writer/artist. People hate him now, but back in the 90s Gambit was very cool with the thing about cards.

He had an important part but he wasn't an X-Men. Being in an X-Men book doesn't make you one, if that were true then Spiderman, Iron Man, Thor, Thing, Dr. Strange, Captain Marvel, and countless others are X-Men due to their involvement with said group.

The only answer possible is Maggot.

But he is a mutant.

He is still a kid but there are dozen of stories were he's an X-Men when he is older.

But the question/thread isn't which mutant power is the best, it's what X-Men power is the best. And Future Franklin as God (FF 604) isn't an X-Men. So he wouldn't count :p

Wanda Maximoff has the most dangerous power (if we don't include Franklin, who I think isn't actually a mutant) but my favorite is Jamie Madrox, Multiple Man (although he's not technically a mutant, either).

When don't know the whole past story of Hickman's version of God Franklin.

He could have been an X-men. =D

Also the question is: What mutant in X-men has...

And Franklin clearly has been an X-men in a lot of stories.
