What promotion will nintendo do for Zelda?

The wind waker april fools joke has got me wondering just what kind of promotion nintendo is gonna come up with for the new zelda. The promotion for TWW was pretty cool, and I don't see how they could really top that. Thoughts?

Well, they said the new game is being made with the Wind Waker engine, so why don't they drop the new textures into the old game and hey presto! :lol

Where I work, they're $15 used. I'd like a case, booklet, and all that good stuff that came with the game.

Plus, I'd get LADX "free" the other way.
 
Promotion: preorder copies will come in gold case and disc (even gold on the disc data side!)

The box art will also sport the tag "BEST SELLER"

Actually, I think a "The Making of" featurette + history of Zelda would be nice if they're too stubborn to put in the GB games.

They should do a take on the whole 'sword on the stone' mythology from OoT. Whoever can remove the master sword from the stone, strategically placed in a major city, wins a shitload of Nintendo stuff plus a bunch of cash and prizes. Nintendo would have to rig the stone so it randomly let the puller remove it after a certain number of people. It'd be sweet to have a several thousand person lineup just aching to see if they could remove Nintendo's master sword from the stone to receive a bunch of free shit. Oh, and when the sword's remove, the music and light from OoT needs to be triggered too. :)

And I am wondering what the HUD will be like, myself. Only 2.5 months left now. BRING IT ON. I have waited a whole fucking year. (and no, those 3 screens in november doesn't count)

Pre-order it and get some special disk, memory card, or perhaps a little circle that goes on top of the GameCube. Nintendo might push a disk with other versions. And of course, there will be a Zelda bundle with GameCube for something like $99.
 
I hope we get new screens this month. :(

There'll be microsoft and sony news this month (yay it's march!) so Nintendo can counter with new Zelda info. Please.

change the textures and sky effects.

do this for entire game. TWW doesnt do much to show off the GC capabilities.
i was dissapointed at the choiice in graphics style, but its still a great game, all it did was alienate people from the familiar graphics style of OTT, which coulda been an upgrade.

Pfft. Link's Awakening is the only Zelda I could stand to finish. Best in the series by far, and avoids most of the worthless bullshit that populates the rest of the series.
 
Nintendo promotions? Hmm.....let's see.....

Nintendo teams up with Post Cereals to: PUT LINK ON THE FRUITY PEBBLES BOX! No magazine ads, no TV commercials, just this.

Uh, just because the models aren't super high poly and super realistic doesn't mean it doesn't show off capabilities well.
 
There won't be a promotion for this game. Unlike Wind Waker, this Zelda game will be able to sell itself without having to entice the thousands of fans who lost interest because of poor design choices.
