TBH I don't think there's much they can do differently.

Nintendo's popularity ebbs and flows over time. GameCube and Wii U had killer lineups of first-party games and they still sold like shit. I think that sometimes people need to miss Nintendo for a while and then come back to it.

So, I hope they play the long game and keep making quality games. Don't panic and chase trends if Switch 2 doesn't do as well as Switch 1

And FFS don't make all their games with toddler level difficulty.

Nintendo should find a way to make SW1 relevant with a cost effective price. Perhaps a new SW1 SKU and backwards compatibility for the next Mario & Zelda.

Sounds like a cop out but the lower SW2 forecasts and price are not good for momentum.

Not much to be done about the price of hardware. I'd bundle Donkey Kong or Mario Kart or Pokopia with that $499 price though.

Not much to done about first party software in the short term either. I'm sure they have new installments of all the big franchises under development.

I'd just make sure third parties have whatever they need to develop Switch 2 ports or upgrades from Switch 1 games and make their lives as easy as possible.

Pilot Wings

- A full on rich island to explore perform stunts and feats of aerial action
- A flight school full of characters presented in a sort of Mario Golf style narrative.
- Masses of course across the island
- Lots of different vehicles to pilot
- Courses that require hoping from one vehicle to another
- Multiplayer (co-op and competitive)

I guess they kind of attempted the open space map with Mario Kart and that was not it. The place should truly be a playground home for all the antics of the game allowing for some high skill courses.
Just Cause comes to mind as a playground of fun, as does GTA Online, I had a lot of fun playing that with friends and making up our own challenges to compete over, or do co-op like getting a group to all land motorbikes on to a passing train without knocking each other off.
