Maybe Obsidian if Avowed ends up being a flop. I hope it isn't, but to be honest I wasn't impressed with it's gameplay. Cool visual design tho, and if the writting's decent enough I might end up giving it a go.

I looked up Undead Labs on the Internet and boy oh boy, they're in trouble ... Haven't released a game in the past six years, there's no news on "State of Decay 3" except a rumor that it could be delayed to 2027. The biggest news was an expose about that studio appeared on Kotaku two years and told stories of sexism, bullying and burn out while at the same time the studio prided itself on pushing diversity, equity and inclusion. What must have happened was that the old timers disregarded the opinions of the inexperienced newcomers. And when that happened MS stepped in and doubled down on DEI and focused on even more diversity hiring.

Playground, Coalition and 343 are safe, although the fact that 343 is safe is hilarious.
Turn 10 need to deliver on the next Motorsport or I'd be worried about them as well.

This won't happen. I've got more chance of being sucked off to completion by Joe Biden than that happening.
They can remaster 3 and NV, then give Bethesda more resources to turnaround FO5.
Even if Microsoft did want to do this, it would take Obsidian well over 5 years to make an Fallout game.
Final point, Obsidian made one FO game 14 years ago. There is no guarantee they'll make anything to NV standard again.

Ninja Theory most likely. They released that Hellblade 2 trailer along with the Series X announcement at TGA 2019, it's now 2024 and Hellblade is basically a "Game Pass game". I'd love to be wrong but it's an uphill battle for it to be a critical and financial success. Microsoft will definitely be eyeing the upcoming release carefully.
