So I'm looking for a copy of Tomba locally after the eBay snafoo, and, according to the respective websites that say they have it in stock, and are closest to me:

EB #1 - our product is defective and has to be returned
EB #2 - we don't actually have it in stock
Gamestop #1 - we don't actually have it in stock
Gamestop #2 - we don't actually have it in stock

:(

None of these companies have POS systems that update in real time. All their inventory changes are calculated and transmitted to their corporate office after the store closes. This causes a day or three delay right there, and high demand used games can go quick.

Tomba is a high demand game?

yeah those availability things are more for you to see who might have something, give them a call if the site says they have it

specially with the used stuff, some times things get traded in or sold under the wrong name or sku by mistake it happens

plus like it was said the systems aren't real time they get updated to corporate at midnight and then that day or the next it gets updated online so they arent perfect at all
