Ah, the Ree. Sorry this is gonna be a little long, but I spent several hours there the past few days and made some observations. I have a troll account, which I only use to try and make the horde screech. Immature of me, I know, but at the same time it's kind of funny.
There's not much to talk about over there and things have slowed down considerably. On the general side it's all the same politics day in and day out. Posts about some pop singer no one over the age of 16 cares enough about to discuss. 90% of the posts are five or six words in total. How does one respond to a thread about, say, some casting change in a TV show when it's 200 posts of people typing out several words and never looking back? It's even worse than Twitter.
On the gaming side it has gotten way too political. And threads that aren't political will inevitably have some political bomb thrower (sometimes a mod) roll in and try to stir shit up. It's almost impossible to merely have a simple conversation about games there. It always veers off into some super woke SJW bullshit.
Some of the mods have been trying to make more threads, probably a reaction to how slow they've become because all they do is ban people and others are rightfully afraid to make threads now, but it's boring stuff like comic books. What grown man want's to discuss comic books that much? Sure I like Spider-Man and Batman but I can't really delve into some deep discussion on them.
Well that's Ree in a nutshell to me. I couldn't tell you why anyone would want to post there but they have thousands of active members so they must be striking the right chords with certain people. I just cruise by, drop a bomb, get people banned (almost effortlessly, I might add), and laugh.
