Pretty much nothing for me. The ease of use on consoles will always be king. Plus I don't give a shit about some of the benefits of PC such as better graphics or frame rate.

Might be open to a steamdeck or something along those lines to maybe get me in the ecosystem, but an actual PC? Could never see myself using one. I absolutely loathe using my home and work laptop as is for basic functions. Couldn't stand having to try and run games on there.

Made the jump to PC a year ago and never going back to console only. I don't like the curated console experience, and don't want to get locked down in a console ecosystem. Freedom.

And yes i also play older games again. The ones that are favorites and stuck in 720p on console, i get to experience in 4k 120/144hz with added anti aliasing and mods to make them like new games.

I'm really curious why PC gamers have chosen console wars in the last 5+ years.

Nah, if you break it down it’s really just this:

1. Some vocal PS fans became PC gamers and mocked Xbox fans last gen when PC Xbox ports started arriving, said that Xbox wasn’t needed anymore and they had no true exclusives.

2. Some vocal Xbox fans became PC gamers and started mocking PS fans this gen when PC PS ports started arriving, said that PS wasn’t needed and they had no true exclusives.

Tbh I don’t think long time PC gamers care at all about consoles. Those I know have zero interest in console IPs, they mostly play CS and DOTA and stuff like that. Generalizing here but I don’t hear much talk about previous console games being played.
But if console gamers are suddenly hating on PCs in some pseudo console war thing then you might see old timers bite back when blatant lies are spread.
