What Would You Give Up: TV, Cell or Web?

I don't have a cell phone. I don't want a cell phone. So can I say "cell phone" even though I'm not giving anything up?

TV, obviously. So long as I could watch the last season of LOST :lol

Living in the city / meeting up with people / relationships require a cell phone. Obviously.

Wow, I am amazed at all the people saying cellphone. Do you guys have no social life? i seriously can't see life THESE DAYS without a cellphone.

seriously?

who still uses landline phones? I mean, other than old people.

and dont tell me about the pager.

and the internets? yea, cool, but Im not home much.

Lol. That's your response? "Pfffttt, that doesn't count!"

I had a cell and people would call all the fucking time and get mad when I didn't answer it. My boss is always bugging me about getting one as though she is entitled to a second of my time when I'm away from work. Having a landline only means I talk to people when I want to talk to them and they can't can't get mad at me for not answering because I may not be home for all they know (although they do try to turn it around get mad at me for not having a cell phone). I've never - never - come across a situation while these people are bitching about how urgent they needed to speak to me, that was actually something that was of any priority to anyone but themselves and even then it's usually something asinine.

No cell phone means no fucking chit chat. When people call they have a reason. I've got them trained to leave a voice mail and they know I'll get back with them in a few hours at the most.

The only times I wish I had a cell is when I travel, which admittedly is fairly frequent.

Now go ahead and say something about a family member getting in an wreck (as this is something every-fucking-body throws out there to try to get me to get one). In the off-chance something does happen, I'll just have to find out about it the same way people did before cell phones.

yes, i have a social life. i speak with people in person. we arrange meetings and activities, then get together and execute on these planned activities.

it's the fucking stone age.

We don't have cable, and we have a pay as you go phone we use once a week.. maybe less.

I think we could live without either pretty easily, but never without mah internets.

TV for sure, most everything I like is on Hulu. After that would be phone because I could just get a Skype plan. The internetz is my #1 utility.

Cellphone and Internet make life 10 times easier. Watching TV = wasting time.

Besides, all good TV can be found on the internet and/or dvd anyway. The need to see TV right when it happens is unnecessary sans sports, and thats what sports bars are for

I lived without TV for years and dont think I'll ever need it. But I have a friend that doesnt use email, but actually tries to send snail mail to communicate which is a pain in the ass. I also have another friend with no cell phone. Meeting up with him is a joke. Neither one of us are punctual enough to make that work, and he often ends up in the wrong places at the wrong times, which I wont know about unless he uses a pay phone or borrow someone elses cell. :p

TV, can't decide on cell or web. I've had periods without both, and I would consider both experiences equally terrible.

But TV, c'mon guys. Most shows that you can't watch on the internet or get on dvd are probably terrible. As for gaming, well, I can get used to PC and handheld gaming.

To be voted off the island, in order:

TV
Cell
Web

Had to last a week not too long ago without internet and it was the longest, most frustrating week I've experienced in recent memory.

TV, then phone, then web.

Anything I could possibly want on TV is on the internet. I can also use the internet for a phone if I really need to.

TV, then Cell and then Internet.

I cant live without the Internet and its content, while I can live pretty well without a TV.

Cellphone is important to me only for emergences or those "where the fuck is this guy he said he would have been here at this hour let me call him"

I only use the TV, intended as a Monitor, to play Videogames.
