What year was your first date with a girl you met Online?

For me it was when I was 22 in 2004, and it was SUPER nerdy to meet a girl that way back then and your mates would all give you shit for it.

She was 18 and I saw her for a while, but she was a quiet one

And yous?

2002 with a girl that I met on eyeball chat.

We technically were in a relationship already when I moved out to the east coast to be with her and attend college there. It's kinda absurd looking back on it but we stayed together for three years!

I used to meet girls in AOL chatrooms of all places. I had one particularly noteworthy road trip to Harrisburg once. What a weekend.

That was years ago, I only found out she was divorced and that she had a kid after 3 or 4 months of sending messages back and forth. Not that her being a single mom was a problem for me, but I never liked that she didn't want to reveal that earlier on. When we met irl there was no chemistry so that ended pretty quickly.

99 or 2000, maybe. I don't remember where I met her, but I remember I used to call her online using a free online telephone service , and that graduated to driving out to see her a couple weekends a month. She lived in Shreveport, LA and I lived in Corpus Christi, TX. We were together for a couple years.

Christmas 97. Met her/chatter with her through ICQ(“oh,ooooohhhh”). Met her cause her brother was part of the same guild I was in for Ultima Online and well me and her got to talking. Shared mail and then I went to see her up in Washington State.

Met a girl from a music forum, just as friends nothing romantic.

She immediately sat on my bed and started reading a book. Literally with a flight luggage bag. No eye contact, just utter silence.

I sat at my PC and thought WTF?

No conversation, zero. What was the point of her traveling so far?

We had a few fun evenings drinking, she left while I was asleep days after.

Woke up and she was gone, so rang her and ended up speaking to the train conductor who said she'd reverse course and come back on another train.

Was waking up and didn't even know she was on a train, thought she was lost in the house. Said not thanks. Did meet her after (at a later day). Great girl but seriously odd.

Bizarre shit.

2000 maybe 1999. I’m not sure, it has been a while it didn’t work out.

I also remember being blown away meeting a couple that got married after meeting online.

Someone post travolta lost

Believe me, I did that a lot.

When I brought her to pubs she'd vanish. Eventually I'd get worried (As she was staying with me) and look around like Travolta and end up she was just kissing some dude, so I shrugged and went for a piss and back to my pint.

Extremely funny in retrospect but very odd at the time. Again we were friends, she'd just vanish and I'd be sitting at a table on my own for ages. She was just a bit odd.

Someone comes to visit you and every event was a RL 'Where's Waldo'?

Was she hot? She might have just been an idiot who was expecting you to bang her or make a move even if she was mute.

Sounds like if you would have just tried to kiss her or flopped your cock out she’d have a chew.

My first date after my abusive ex gf. And it was phenomenal

I had a reservation at a restaurant and she wanted to watch a movie afterwards. When she pulled up she looked sad and when i asked what's wrong she said "I'm really sorry, i forgot that i was invited to a birthday party so i have to leave immediately after dinner"

Me: "well that's not an issue, we can watch the movie another time"

Her:" or we can just fuck right now because lets be honest that's what we wanted to do in the first place?"

Me: "...true but then the restaurant is just a sharade as well though right?" i was really shocked at that point

Her: "i guess...lets just order food then?"

i cancelled the reservation.

I never went out on a date with anyone I met online until a couple of years ago. One guy lied to me saying he was divorced when he actually wasn't, and the other one was in his 40's and apparently still lived at home with his mom and needed permission to go out.

Most men who expressed interest in dating me ended up being uncomfortable in one way or another. I very quickly lost all interest in any online dating whatsoever.

Still, there is one friend that lives in Louisianna who is awesome and absolutely dateable. We've spoken at length over the phone and I believe we'll just stay friends, but who knows. Maybe someday. :)

Mid/late 90's for me. Used to be you could sit on AIM or stuff like it and just spam "random user" for HOURS. Most times you got nothing, there was a lot of dick, but every now and then you got a lonely freaky girl willing to exchange nudes or even meet up.

The explosion of lavalife and other dating sites was a damned gold mine though, phew!

Ah she was cute enough, huge boobs too. We did kiss a few times whilst drunk but that's about it.

When you hear anything like this at the start of the date it's just an excuse so they can bail if they don't like you.
